The inevitable was unrelenting in its chase. When the sun woke they got a better look at the ship. It was pure black, sleek, and clearly built for speed. Leia was in the crow's nest looking for any signs of Marino or any identifying marks on the ship but found none. The black ship had gained some distance, out of range of canon and gunfire. So all they could do was chase. Chase and hope that whatever they had planned for Marino wasn't sinister.
It was a tense few days. The ship continued to gain ground. Lillianna stood at the front of the ship her mind racing with ideas. Yet none seemed to work out in the end.
"You should get some rest," Jacob walked up behind Lillianna pulling her back into his chest.
"I can't sleep," she said simply. Jacob nodded, he couldn't sleep either.
"I know love," he whispered.
"I've been tracking there heading. If they keep going the way they are they'll be landing just short of the Aladalv capital," Lillianna pointed out there heading on the map infront of her.
"That could mean anything," he muttered.
"Or it could mean that the ones who knew were were coming sent out a ship to stop us," Lillianna proposed.
"Why would you say that?" he asked stepping to her side. Lillianna stared out at the ship.
"Were both woman, we both have redish hair. And she was putting books away in my room when it happened," Lillianna murmured.
"Your saying they were after you?" he asked with a frown.
"Wouldn't that be more likely?" she asked. Jacob pondered, she was right.
"Why would they want to stop us?" Jacob asked.
"I don't know love," Lillianna whispered.
Lillianna decided it would be best to hide the colour of her hair, so after a quick search through the supplies she found squid ink. Dabbing it onto a brush she worked it through her hair letting it dry off. She paused briefly in front of the mirror. She wasn't looking at her hair so much as he stomach. She gently placed her hand on it wondering what it would look like when she came to full term. Walking out she got a few compliments here and there.
"Who are you and what have you done with my wife?" Jacob asked as he saw her a surprised smile on his lips.
"What don't like the new look?" she asked with a small smile. A smile Jacob was grateful to finally see.
"That's a trick question, I'm not answering that," he said.
"So what's happening?" Lillianna asked.
"They've gone into a shipwreck zone. I think they will try to lose us in that," Sharp explained pointing out to the approaching land. An approaching land filled with large rocks towering out of the sea.
"Can we make it through?" Lillianna asked.
"Possibly, with a slow and cautious pace. But if they are familiar with the way they could easily lose us. The general's ship on the other hand rests to low. They'll be grounded before they know it," Jacob explained.
"It's your call captain," Sharp said.
"We go after them. Get the measuring poles out and take her easy. Have everyone ready for another attack," Jacob decided the crew rushing into action. They knew he wasn't going to choose anything else. Jacob was a good and just captain who would risk his life for everyone single one of his crew. So the general was told and she said she would go around and try and find a place to land.
It was a nail biting experience, hearing the ship scrape up against the more closer calls. They had lost sight of the other ship, the passageway they followed coming to a stop at a bay with no other ship in sight.
"They should be here," Sharp said as they all scanned the bay.
It was silent till the sound of metal cracking was heard, everyone rushed to the back of the ship to see a large metal net erupt from the water cutting off the entryway to the bay. And from behind a passageway hidden by the cliffs to one side came the black ship.
There cannons fired and everyone ducked for cover. Only it wasn't cannons balls, it was capsules that once they hit the deck exploded in green gas. Lillianna coughed covering her mouth as she tried to search through the heavy smoke for anyone. She only got a couple of steps before her legs gave way and she fell unconscious to the ground.
"Waky waky beautiful!" Feeling something slapping firmly against her cheek Lillianna was brought out of her unconscious state. Groaning at the drowsiness that still affected her she shook her head trying to clear her vision. When she did she saw a covered face in front of her. Flinching back the person chuckle before standing and walking away. Lillianna looked around her to find she was sat on a beach, her hands bound tightly in front of her.
"Stay calm," Snapping her head to the side she saw Sharp sat next to her in the same predicament.
"What happened?" Lillianna asked rubbing her head.
"Sleeping gas. Knocked us all out and took us ashore. I think there getting ready to move us," Sarah said her eyes scanning the people who vastly outnumbered there crew. They were all dressed darkly everything but their eyes covered.
"Wheres?" Lillianna question was answered by a sharp shush.
"They've been looking for you. Marinos been pretending to be you," she explained.
"Is everyone safe?" Lillianna asked.
"Ay," Sarah nodded.
"And Maisie?" Lillianna asked worried that her daughter was scared.
"It took three men to restrain her. She bit one guy so hard she severed his finger. Seven for your husband," Sharp held a slightly proud tone.
"And there both ok?" Lillianna asked.
"There fine. There over by that big tree. They thought it wise to separate em," she said. Lillianna nodded trying to make it look as normal as possible as she peeked over her shoulder to see Both Maisie and Jacob tied to said tree. Jacob who was busy glaring at his guards caught her gaze looking for only a moment before looking away. He didn't want to give her away. He looked pretty ruffed up. A few bruises already starting to form.
"Alright everyone up! Anyone tries to run away and we kill the kid!" the crew quickly stood there binds being tied to one another to form a long train. Maisie, Jacob and Marino were lead first most of the guards focused on them.
"I don't suppose you have a knife on you by chance?" Lillianna whispered to Sharp.
"Not one, they took everything whiles we were out," she said.
"Bullocks," Lillianna whispered.
