"All hands on deck! ALL TOGETHER NOW!" Ms Merino called as she walked the deck of the Inevitable. All around her sailors rushed to complete their tasks.

"Heave away!" she called.

From a certain Captain's room walked a sailor. Tall and blond he wrapped his scarred hands as he walked up the ship. One arm full of tattoo's with pictures of sea beasts and a compass. He hoisted his belt up before scaling the rope ladder all the way to the top.

"Where'd ya see it?" Jacob asked opening his spy glass copying the lookouts actions.

"Dead ahead Jacob," the woman with the spiky hat said with an excited grin.

"What are we dealing with?" he asked looking through the spy glass to see a flock of birds a few yards out.

"It big and it's purple. I'm guess a Knifefin," she suggested.

"Lucky it's down wind," he said giving her a pat on the shoulder before grabbing onto a rope and sliding back down to the deck.

"Heads up!" Lillianna who was carrying a keg on her shoulder looked up at the call moving to the side slightly. As Jacobs boots hit the deck he smiled grabbing Lillianna's waist and pulling him into her.

"Well hello princess," he mused.

"Captain someday," she greeted him back with a kiss.

"Come on you two. You'll have time for that latter. Now we've got business," Jacob gave Lillianna one last quick peck before walking up to the back of the ship where Sarah stood. Lillianna shock her head hoisting the barrel further up her shoulder showing off her own tattooed forearm, with patterns and a spear, and the gilts of gold piercings that lines her ears.

"Sweet on the princess are we?" Sarah asked with a smirk.

"She's alright," he said with a shrug.

"I heard that," Lillianna cast the words over her shoulder.

"Captains in the doghouse!" Ms Merino shouted it out like an announcement. An announcement that had the crew laughing.

"What is she?" Sarah asked opening her spy glass to look out.

"Were guessing a knifefin," Jacob said.

"A Knifefin!?" The two turned as Maisie slightly taller pushed through the two, holding her hand out for Jacobs spyglass.

"Ay, so what should we do captain someday?" Jacob asked resting against the ropes his arms crossed.

"Lower the guards, go to full sails. Try and outrun em," Masies said looking through the spyglass.

"Outrun a Knifefin, ain't a ship alive that can do that," Sarah remarked.

"Well go round it. Ms Merino! We gotta go fast and we gotta go wide, we've got a knifefin on our hands," Jacob called back.

"Aye Captain. All right ya lubbers. I want guards down and full sails. Two nots to port. Square the yards, get it of the pins!" Ms Marino called out.

Lillianna wasn't just a free loader, so when the order was given she rushed down bellow deck to the storage heaving a long metal guard onto her shoulder with four other sailors. Rushing back up the set the guards along the side of the ship. Putting a metal pin in place she raised her hand.

"Hammer!" she called. A hammer was quickly put into her hand and she knocked the pin into place.

"Make sure that cargos secure!" Jacob called.

Lillianna scaled half the rope ladder hooking her legs before looking out. Taking a deep breath a bright smile graced her lips.

"Another day in paradise," she whispered. The crew watched the beast from afar waiting in silence.

The sea was choppy that day the ship rocking with each wave they hit.

"Alright, looks like shes ignored us. Ms Merino set us back on corse!" Jacob ordered as the crew relaxed. Sure each of them were hesitant at first of the new ways. Yet they came around quickly, no thanks to Maisie and a certain blue blob that was stuck to her side. Plus they didn't mind not putting there lives on the line fighting giant beasts. The masks were returned to half as the continued on there way. Lillianna dropped onto the deck moving to help with the rigging. When she was finished she whipped her brow looking up at the sails and she tied it off.

"Well look at you. A bowman's knot with one hand?" Jacob asked impressed leaning against the mast.

"Don't you have work to be doing captain?" she asked hiding her smile.

"Ay, but I saw this beautiful lass across the ship, made my knees wobble she did. So I just had to talk to her," he said.

"You better be careful captain. Wouldn't want your wife hearing you talking about other lasses like that," Lillianna smirked.

"I'm sure she wouldn't mind," he teased.

"BIG WAVE COMING. BRACE!" Lillianna was pulled into Jacob chest as he turned them around his back taking most of the blow form the big wave that crashed atop the deck. Shaking his head he pushed back his wet hair.

"God I hate your perfect hair," Lillianna muttered.

"You think its perfect?" He asked with his gorgeous smile that really did made Lilianna knees wobble. Leaning down Jacob captured her lips another wave crashing down on them. Just like the first time they had kissed it felt so right, so perfect.

"Blue!" Maisie giggled as she raced after the blob that slipped along the deck with each wave.

"Gotcha," Jacob said reaching down to grab the beast. Blue let out a quip before giving Jacob a large lick. Maisie smiled walking up to the two Lillianna pulling her into her side.

"Have you done you chores miss?" Lillianna asked.

"No, but I did do this," she said proudly pulling out a piece of rope she had been practicing her knots on. Tieing in the middle was a very well done knot.

"Now you have to teach me how to use a sword" Masie said in a matter of fact tone. Lillianna propped her eyebrow at Jacob who chuckled nervously.

"Only if its alright with you," Jacob said hesitantly looking to Lillianna for permission. Maisie beammed up at her hopefully.

"Alright but chores first," Lillianna nodded giving into her puppy dog eyes. With an excited giggle she took blue and ran off.

"Teaching a 12 year old how to use a sword? You think it's wise? You've seen what she can do with a knife," Lillianna questioned crossing her arms over he chest.

"It's just some fun," he said.

"Wasn't the archery lessons a bit of fun. Remember how that turned out?" Lilliana asked taking a box into her hand and walking off.

"You know you love me," he called after her.

"Debating it," Lillianna called back.

The peaceful atmosphere of the ship was broken when the squake of seagulls were heard. Everyone seemed to pause as they all turned there heads up. Hidden by the sun a flock started to land on the ship.

"BRACE!" The yell was all Lillianna heard as from the side of the ship that she stood close to a big purple beast erupted from the sea. There was a reason why the beast was called a knifefin. And that reason was pretty self explanatory. One of the beasts fin as sharp as a knife crashed into the side the guards alighting it with sparks. The guard gave way and the beast cleaved a large gash into the side of the boat. The very tip of it ripping into Lillianna's arm. The boat had tilted so fast that it threw Lillianna into the air, over the deck and into the water bellow.
