Chapter 4

-Sanemi's POV-

"Huh?" I say visibly confused. (Name) seemed to understand my concern before silently chuckling.

*We're twins.* She smiled, and I then looked at Kyojuro.

°I see it now.° I responded as they smile the same.

Ubuyashiki shifted a little, getting our attention. "Kyojuro, you're saying that your Tsugoku, (Name) Rengoku, is ready to be a hashira if the time comes, correct?"

'Wait, this is what this meeting for them was for?!? She is capable of being Hashira level?!?' I thought, surprised as I looked at (Name) who seemed to be looking out into space.

"Yes!" He said a little overjoyed and loud. "She is ready to be the next flame Hashira when the time comes!" Kyojuro said, smiling like the time when he became a Hashira.

-(Name)'s POV-

I think I spaced out for a bit until I noticed Kyojuro standing up. "Hmhm?" I slightly hum, confused about the situation. *I will tell you when we get home.* Kyojuro signed as we bowed toward Ubuyashiki-san.

I looked at him and he looked at me. *He asked me if you were ready to be a Hashira, and I responded with yes, since you are most definitely stronger than me.*

I was totally shocked and confused.*WHAT?!? Are you retiring?!?* I signed quickly before he started laughing. *No- 'laughs' When I retire or die, I stated that you are ready to be the next flame Hashira. Now let's go get some food.* He said now pushing me to another food place. I see Shinazugawa. In the corner of my eye, and I slightly wave to him before he came out of reach.

-At home-

Kyojuro and I sat outside along with Senjuro talking about random things. °So how did the meeting go for y'all?° Senjuro asked as we all sat at the table. *It went well, I met a friend of Kyojuro's today.* I say giggling.

*And you literally called him hot even though he grabbed you by your shirt.* Kyojuro signed annoyed.

"😏" Senjuro. *Who, if I may ask?*

I look at him confused as to why my little brother is so interested in my love life. *Shinazugawa.... Sanemi??? Right??* I asked looking toward Kyojuro who just huffed as he nodded a yes.

'Overprotective much, huh...' I thought as I looked at the little pond we had. I like to feed the Koi fish sometimes when I'm stressed.

-Weeks Later-

-Kyojuro's POV-

I had been assigned a mission to Mugen Train with a couple of newbies.

"Senjuro! I'm heading out on a mission! Tell (Name) I will see her in a few days."

"Okay!" He responded as he continued to sweep the deck again.

I then start running to the designed location. I got there at night, killing a few demons who threatened some of the train conductors.

-Hours Later-

I looked up to see the soft sobs of Tanjiro as he cried at my state. "Tanjiro do not feel sad, I am proud to have met you cause even if you are feeling disheartened, that you are somehow not enough, set your heart ablaze. Dry your eyes and look ahead. You may feel like digging your heels in, but the flow of time waits for no one."

I looked up to see my mother and I smiled brightly. 'She really does look like you, (Name)...' Everything soon went black.
