Chapter 38

-Tanjiro’s POV-
I saw (Y/n) holding Nezuko back and jumped down hoping to help calm Nezuko down. When I got down there I thanked her so much as I went to help her pin Nezuko, but before we could do that Nezuko kicked backwards knocking the air out of (Y/n) before headbutting her back smashing (Y/n) in the head having her loosen her grip on her sheath.

With this Nezuko got out of her grasp just for me to take action and hold her back as (Y/n) caught her breath and rubbed her head making it hurt less. Nezuko suddenly kicked us through the floor, sending us to the second floor as there were more people upstairs. “Nezu…ko!” I yelled as I struggled to keep her under control until uppermoon six’s sashes bursted into the room knocking down the sliding doors.

“You’ve really done it now! Yes… You can even use demon blood art techniques? A curious technique that only burns demons…” I looked up slightly to see that the demon had her right side burned and eyes popping out of her head slightly.

“On top of that, I am not healing very well at all, this extremely pisses me off. Extremely!” She then started to walk toward us. I looked around the room scanning that there were easily a few people that could get hurt. ‘Not good! There are people around! I have to protect them!’ I thought as Nezuko continued to struggle against me, and looked around to find (Y/n) seeing if she could help me out in this situation.

“Think! Act quick! Her attacks can come at any moment! Her attacks can even cut through buildings!! Is it okay to let go of Nezuko? No! What should I do?!’ I thought as I continued to look around the room looking for any opportunity to flip the situation in our favor.

Suddenly, without a sound or trace of any moment, Uzui appeared in front of me. “Hey isn’t this Kamado Nezuko? She is flamboyantly progressing into a demon.” ‘When did he get here? Good timing but does he have to be this close?’ I thought as he continued to talk.

“You made such a huge show in front of Oyakata-sama and this is how it turned out?” Uzui teased, completely ignoring the upper moon behind him.

-3rd Person POV-
(Y/n) suddenly entered the room as she had a slight bruise on her forehead, but nothing else seemed to be new other than the huge cut along her hair line.

“Pillars came from that direction? This saves me the trouble. So annoying, I'm talking over here." Daki said getting more pissed yet still not recovered from the burns that Nezuko gave her.

"Buzz off." Uzui said, before turning toward the demon's direction. " You're not an upper moon demon are you. You're way too weak. You are not the demon I'm looking for. "

The demon looked insulted and confused as she responded with a simple, "huh?" Before her head fell into her hands. Tanjiro was gawking at how fast Tengen was able to cut the demon's neck, and stared in awe.

Uzui then turned back to the siblings as (Y/n) unsheathed her katana just in case, as she started to feel uneasy. "The fight isn't over yet. Do something about your sister."

"Nezuko!" "Dumb brats who grumble around have no place on the battlefield. Sing her some plain lullaby or something." After Tengen said this, the young demon sent her and her brother out of the second story window catching (Y/n) off guard as she felt something break behind her.

Turning around to see Tengen there calmed her a bit but made her more confused as to where Tanjiro weny before noticing the window. (Y/n) was about to jump out of the window until Tengen grabbed the pillar's shoulder, getting her attention as she saw him looking at the demon.

"Hang on! Where are you going! How dare you cut off my head! You'll pay for this!" Daki complained as she continued to hold her head in her hands still not disintegrating into ash.

(Y/n) just continued to look at the demon confused as the other two in the room talked for her. "Are you still grumbling over there? I have no business with you, just die plainly." Tengen said, making the demon get defensive.

"Stop joking around! You said I wasn't an upper moon to my face a while ago!" Uzui then interrupted Daki again by saying, "Like you're not an upper moon." "I am upper moon six!"

-Tengen's POV-
"Then how did I cut off your head so easily? You're so weak. Did your brain explode?" I stated before looking over to (Y/n) noticing how she was starting to get bored.

"Even she would agree you're too weak!" I said pointing to (Y/n) and she just nodded, not understanding what I said, but it matched perfectly with the conversation.

"I still haven't lost! I'm an upper moon! You've lost without a doubt! I'm actually strong! And I'm just number six now, so I'll get stronger from here and…"

I got bored of her "speech" so I interrupted her, saving everyone here a favor. "You're not convincing anyone here."

Suddenly she started bursting into tears throwing a tantrum. 'What the hell?!?' I thought as I looked at the demon. (Y/n) seemed to have the same reaction as she pointed to it. I just shrugged as I didn't know what to do since I already cut her neck.

'She throwing a tantrum? Are you kidding me? No, no… more importantly, how long is she gonna talk? Her head's been cut off but her body ain't crumbling down.'

"Die! Die! You're all going to die!" She yelled, as she continued to cry like a spoiled child. "My head got cut off! My head got cut oooffff! Oni-chan!!!"

-(Y/n)'s POV-
Suddenly I felt something off in the atmosphere and drew my blade up just in case as I saw a demon emerge from the girls back.

Both me and Uzui went to attack the demon but failed as the two suddenly disappeared and reappeared in the corner of the room as the male demon helped the female demon re-attach her head.

'What the hell?!? They can do that now?!?!' I thought as I looked over to Uzui getting his opinion from the look in his eye. He was quite surprised as well as he just stood there looking at the demons.

When I looked back the female demon's face was healed and Uzui tried to go for the killing blow for the male demon. Instead the demon counteracted by using an attack of his own as I deflected slightly as I stood next to Uzui.
