-3rd Person POV-
Tengen and his wives were sitting against the wall of a broken building as they relaxed next to the unconscious flame pillar. Tengen heard shuffling footsteps as they got closer. “Someone’s coming…” He said laying back, turning to the direction of the noise. “Ah, nevermind it is just Obanai.”

The snake pillar arrived in front of them as soon as his name was said. “So what happened here?” He asked forcefully as he really didn’t care what had happened, yet he was curious of who was able to cause such damage.

“Upper moon six Daki and Gyutaro. That’s what happened, but we really need to get (Y/n) to the butterfly mansion, her breathing slows and the pace every now and then, and it is quite concerning to say the least.” Tengen said, as his wives looked at the two-toned haired girl with worry.

Suddenly multiple kakushi arrived at the village looking for survivors as the serpent pillar called for one of them. The kakushi was in a panic as she looked at the injured pillar. At first she had trouble picking her up as she was in an odd position, yet she didn’t complain about it.

Tengen then explained more about the upper moons to his fellow pillar as (Y/n) was on her way to the butterfly mansion in critical condition. “Hmm, I see. Six. The weakest upper moon. The six aside, you beat an upper moon. We should be celebrating. The six aside.” Obanai teased as the three girls seemed to be getting annoyed, yet Obanai kept going with the insults.

“I should praise you or something.” He said finally before getting a response from Tengen. “No, I don’t really need your praise.” Suma then interrupted as she yelled, “That’s right!” “You’re pretty late.” Makio said rather calmly which surprised the sound pillar, yet he didn’t say anything.

“Y-y-you’re so late! Were you actually coming!? You’re so late!” Suma yelled again before screeching as Kaburamaru hissed at her causing her to grab onto the injured Tengen. “What were you thinking, losing your left arm and eye? Even if this was just a fight against an upper moon six, at best. How long will it take for you to recover? Who’ll take your place while you’re doing that?”

Tengen thought for a moment before speaking again, “I'm retiring, man. I just can’t fight anymore. Oyakata-sama will probably allow me to do so as well.”

-Tengen’s POV-
As the kakushi carried (Y/n) away from us I couldn't help but worry and pray that the kakushi will be able to get her medical attention as quickly as possible. Obanai was quick to shut down the idea of me retiring yet I already figured out something, or had an idea.

“Well, screw that. I won’t allow you. Right now, too many youngsters are dying off without showing any signs of growth. And not to mention that Ren- (Y/n)... most likely won’t make it. Having you in the shape you’re in is a lot better than losing you. Fight to the death.” Obanai said correcting himself as he felt awkward saying Rengoku.

‘Does he find it weird to call her Rengoku? I mean I understand why, but still…’ It took a second for what he said to hit me before I started to defend them. “Oh no, the young ones are definitely growing… Or well, the boy you love to hate is growing.” I said as I was slightly pushing Suma’s face away from me.

“Whoa, you’re kidding… He survived a fight like this? Kamado Tanjiro?” Obanai said surprised not believing, no, not wanting to believe what I had just said. I smiled as I remembered the flamboyant fight we had all participated in. ‘To be honest… I don’t think I would have made it out alive if it weren’t for the kids, and (Y/n).’ I thought as I was helped up by my wives as we soon headed for the butterfly mansion as well.

-3rd Person POV-
-With the Ubuyashiki Estate-

Nora came soaring through the air as her black coat of feather slicked back as the wind pushed them down. She flew through the nearest window as she passed many other crows exiting the estate. Nora saw that there was another crow in the room as it was also giving a report.

“I see they beat an upper moon! Amazing job Tengen and (Y/n). Tanjiro, Nezuko. Zenitsu and Inosuke.” Ubuyashiki said as he soon started coughing, startling the other crow beside. You could see that the disease was mentally wearing as it clouded his mind, yet was able to lead the forces.

Amane ran beside her husband as she started to help in wiping the blood coming from his mouth, yet he sooth her that he was fine by lightly grabbing her arm. “A hundred years! A situation which hasn’t changed for a hundred years has now changed!!”

Amane continued to wipe the blood as she could very clearly hear her husband start to wheeze, yet she was calm as she listened to Kagaya. “Amane.” “Yes.” “Do you understand that this is an omen. Fate is starting to change in a big way.”

“The ripple is probably spreading. It’s swallowing up its surroundings and causing a huge jolt. And it’ll finally reach the feet of that man. Kibutsuji Muzan. We will definitely defeat you within our generation. You are the single blemish on our entire family!” Kagaya said as his symptoms of his disease started to get worse.

“Kids, go heat up some water, then bring a towel and the medicine.” Amane said as she desperately tried to help the sick leader, yet all she could do for now is wait.
