Chapter 64

-Sanemi's POV-
*Yeah! You can try out the course but I'm going to get food first. I haven't eaten all day.* I gave her a thumbs up before she started heading toward her estate. I started to feel awkward before I decided to go and look around for a wooden sword for the two of us.

I then found the basket of training swords so I grabbed two of them. I then walked in front of the water pillar throwing one of the training swords at him. "Come on, let's not waste time." Tomioka didn't seem to say anything yet he followed me anyway to the dirt and sand field.

After a few minutes of the intense blows that went back and forth between us, Tomioka then said, "Chill out, I ain't after your girl.." this made me stop my pursuit as I looked at him very confused. "What do you mean?" I asked, looking the man dead in the eyes waiting for a response.

"You know exactly what I mean is it obvious every other person can see it. You're in love with her." Tomioka said, clearing up what he meant. I pointed my wooden sword down toward the ground as I thought about what he had just said. 'Do I actually love her? No I can't…. Love has only hurt me.'

"You have got it all wrong Tomioka. I am not in love with her. I see her… as a friend" I hate to admit it but it hurt a little bit to say that, and it took a bit longer to say than I wanted to as well. 'Where the hell is he all up in my business anyway, why does he care..'

"Let's just continue sparring. It can be used as our training from each other as we both have pretty much the same training course. We're killing two birds with one stone." I scoffed as I continued to strike my sword toward the two-sided haori male.

We exchanged blows back and forth on one another until we heard a noise of a door sliding open and closed. 'I guess (Y/n)'s done preparing food.' With that I backed away from the sparring match with Tomioka. I didn't even notice Tomioka bowing for the match until I turned back around to see him.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked slightly offended, but mainly confused as he's a fellow hashira, and shouldn't be bowing so easily to other people. "Thanking you for the spar.." I looked back over to (Y/n) before saying, "Don't do that, it makes you look pathetic."

"Alright." He responded before he started walking behind me. 'This was the longest I've ever heard him talk.' I thought to myself before sitting next to (Y/n) while Tomioka sat across from us. *What took you so long, (Y/n)?* I asked, causing her and the other male to look at me.

(Y/n) seem to be at a loss of words before understanding what I meant for a second. *Gyomei-san had sent me a letter saying that he wouldn't be able to come to my estate for the hashira training for a while as he has to make sure no one passes out on his training.* Tomioka and hummed in response causing us both to look at each other. *Doesn't that mean that Tomioka is the last hashira that has to finish your course? At least for a while.*

(Y/n) nods before saying that I also needed to try the second stage of my course. 'I forgot about that actually..' I thought before turning to Tomioka. °It's harder than it looks.° I signed/said allowing Tomioka to not struggle trying to read signs.

(Y/n) giggled causing us both to look at her. But my face became flush red in seconds causing Tomioka to give the, 'and you were saying' face. "Shut up." I said turning my face but (Y/n) couldn't see my face. *Anyways…* I signed, causing both of them to look at me.

*I'm heading home so I can go to bed, so I can train the brats of demon slayers in the morning. Make sure you both get rest.. You'll never know when the final battle will come.* I signed, getting a, "Good night." from Tomioka, and a, *See you tomorrow.* from (Y/n).

Turn around before my heart feels like it did some flips. 'Why am I only noticing this now.. was it because somebody pointed it out to me that I'm noticing it… or have I known I just denied it..' I thought as I was leaving the estate walking down the dirt path road, nichirin blade in hand as demons could attack at any moment if they wanted to.

'I'm doing this to protect you and myself from getting hurt…' Or at least that's just what I'm telling myself. 'It's for the best' I thought, 'She doesn't feel the same way.' I thought again before noticing I was almost passing Ubuyashiki mansion.

Just before that I heard rustling in the bushes. Out of inexpensive it being night time I went into the bushes and grabbed whatever it was I saw. I then squished it as I saw blood ooze from my hand. "The fuck is this?" I said disgusted as I saw a popped eyeball fall out of my hand. "Well that's disturbing.."

I said to myself before my crow came flying in high speeds toward me for circling above my head. "EMERGENCY SUMMON! EMERGENCY SUMMON!" I ran after the crow thinking, 'what the hell is happening!' "ATTACK ON UBUYASHIKI ESTATE! ATTACK ON UBUYASHIKI ESTATE!!"

'OYAKTA-SAMA!!'  I thought to myself as I ran full speed ahead.

-(Y/n)'s POV-
A few minutes have passed when Tanjiro has walked into my estate looking for Tomioka. °Well hello you two, how are you all doing tonight..° Tanhiro said calmly for urgently looking toward the sky, holding onto his nichirin blade.

As I had seen a crow flying around us in circles I was confused at the panic of the two others. Tanjiro seemed to grab my hand pulling me along out of my estate. 'What the hell is happening!' I thought in a panic before Tanjiro signed to me. *There's an attack on the Ubuyashiki mansion right now!*

He didn't even need to say another word if I sprinted way ahead of the other two hoping to get there before anything bad could happen.

Sorry again for the upload spam. I just got bored and I thought I wouldn't have to waste my time if I wrote on the story since I quite like writing on it.

Even if from time to time I get lost in thought trying to think of an idea to write.

Anyways we'll work on some more chapters tomorrow and I'm going to see how far I get into the Infiniti Castle Arc before Thursday. Toodals!
