A few days later...

Y/N POV

It's been just a few days since Mani and I have met, and we've really clicked. If I don't text her first, she'll beat me to it. I'm always sending her songs I've been listening to that she hasn't heard of and she's been sending me new songs as well. I don't know how she does it though, it's like she's an endless encyclopedia of music. I love it. The past two nights we've actually fallen asleep on the phone after talking and laughing about complete nonsense. You would think we were two kids having a sleepover that are supposed to be asleep. This morning when I woke up she was still asleep, which is a first, so I decided to hit the gym early today. I get up, wash my face and brush my teeth, throw on a sports bra, a baggy t-shirt, and some shorts and slick my hair up in a bun before I decide to wake Mani.

"Pssssst.... Psssst" 

"Mm mm" Mani groans while turning over.

I chuckle before going again "PSSSSSSSSST GET UP!"

"Y/n whaaat? I know you see me sleep over here" I couldn't help but laugh.

"You're going to the gym with me, let's go. get up!"

"Uh uh. No it is way too early to be in somebody's gym for no reason. Goodnight." She says turning back over and pulling her blanket up, over her head.

"It ain't for no reason, it's for your health and well being now COME ON!"

"No."

I roll my eyes because I knew there was only one way I could convince her to come with me. "...We can get breakfast afterwards, all you can eat." I say in a sing-song way

She brings the blanket down, uncovering her face, "....You paying?"

"Yes I'll pay. But you gotta drink one of my protein shakes before we go."

"Ugh why'd you have to ruin an already good thing?" she pouts.

"Come on it'll be good I promise!"

"I hate the chalky feel from the protein though, can't I skip it?"

"If you skip it you get no kisses until the end of breakfast." I cross my arms and raise my eyebrow

"See you ain't gotta be evil ...fine I'll try it. For kisses sake." She rolls her eyes, getting out of bed.

"Perfect, I'll make the shakes and be there in 30."

"Kk, see you soon" she says blowing me a kiss, which makes me smile and my heart flutter.

"Later love." I blew a kiss back and hung up. I headed downstairs to make the shakes, locked up my house, and hopped in my Mustang 5.0 to go pick up Mani.

Skip drive

I text Mani that I'm outside and I get out to open her door for her when she FINALLY decides to join me. Who knew it would take so damn long to get ready for the gym? She does somehow look amazing so I can even be mad. 

"Morning love." I say as I lean down to hug her, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her in tight.

"Morning babe." She says, and I can feel her smile into my neck as she hugs me back, wrapping her arms around my neck. Maybe it's just because it was her, but this was one of the greatest hugs I've ever had. She smells amazing, like cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut, and vanilla. I could stay like this all day. God I love black women. I pout internally as she pulls away, but I quickly remember we have a whole getaway coming up so, I'll get to be all up on her for the entire time.
