Omniscient POV

The countdown to the first night of the tour was winding down on Y/n and her crew. With a little under a week left to go, she was locked in. Rehearsals were running long and were much more intense, costume had been selected and fitted to each person, and now they were combining the final musical arrangements with the choreography.

"Can I see the next three songs together please? With the videos in the back too please. Thank you." Y/n was in her zone. Thankfully, so was everyone else. There weren't many mistakes being made and they were sharp, polished.

While watching the dancers, Teyana standing in for Y/n's space so she could watch, Y/n's phone buzzed in her pocket. She took it out and saw that it was a text from her wife.

"Everyone take five, I gotta take this call." Y/n spoke through the microphone and walked out of the soundstage. She called her wife, feeling a bit panicked, but wanting to see what's going on. "Hey babe, everything okay?"

"Um... not exactly." you could hear the tears in her voice.

"Baby what's wrong? What happened?" Y/n's heart started beating faster.

"So you know how the um, nanny was supposed to come this morning to help?"

"Yeah, did she not show up?" Y/n walked outside to get better reception.

"Her mother took a nasty fall so she had to meet her brother and husband at the hospital."

"And you're still feeling bad from your period."

"Yeah, the cramps j-just got worse out of nowhere. And the twins woke up with fevers. They won't stop crying and I just... really need you right now." Y/n could hear Mani break down crying over the phone.

"Okay baby. I'm coming okay. Sit tight and I'll be right there. The twins in their room or are they with you?"

"They're in their room. I stepped out to call you and get some peace but I don't want them to keep—"

"Hey, hey. It's okay, I hear you. I'm coming baby. They'll be okay if they cry for a little bit and you take a moment. Can you do something for me real quick?"

"Yeah." Mani responds through tears.

"Go in the bathroom, wet a washcloth with hot water, rinse it out, and let it rest on your lower stomach for a little bit. I'll be right there okay? I'm gonna head home now, call me if you need me. I love you."

"Okay, I love you too." Y/n hung up and ran back to the soundstage.

"Y/n, you good?" Teyana asked concerned.

"Mani isn't feeling well and the twins both have fevers. I'm gonna take care of them. Can you wrap up here? Record anything that you think I'll want to see and run through everything to make sure it's smooth." Y/n packed up her stuff in her backpack as she spoke.
