Omniscient POV

It was a beautiful morning in Napa Valley. Y/n began to stir and woke up, quickly realizing she had the girl she's been pining after in her arms. She adores how peaceful her new lover is while sleeping, snoring lightly. Or at least that's what she thought until Normani let out the manliest snore Y/n had ever heard. Startled, but amused, she tries so hard not to laugh and escapes to the bathroom to do her morning routine before heading downstairs to make the two breakfast.

Y/n heads into the kitchen, turns on a morning playlist, and searches the fridge for the items she had stocked by the chef. She decides on mini pancakes, breakfast potatoes, and omelets for the two. She pulls out the spinach, bell peppers, cheese, and bacon bits to add to the omelets, and begins cooking their breakfast.

About 15 minutes later, Normani is still snoring, until her snores wakes her up. She looks around and sees Y/n isn't in the room. Although she misses her arms around her, she's relieved Y/n didn't get a chance to hear the snores she inherited from her father. After a nice, revitalizing stretch, she hits the bathroom to brush her teeth, wash her face, and slightly fix her hair so she can look somewhat decent. She checks herself one last time, throws on some chapstick, and heads downstairs to find her lover.

Normani decides to follow the sounds of music and the smells of breakfast being cooked. She quietly walks into the kitchen to see Y/n dancing to Beyonce's version of "Before I Let Go" while stirring the potatoes around. Normani chuckles to herself before pulling her phone to take a video. She quickly is glad she did because shortly after, Y/n gets popped by bacon grease. Normani can't contain her laughter at this point.

"You scream like a five year old." Normani says, finally making her presence known.

"Who the fu- Mani you scared the shit outta me!" Y/n says shaking her hand, still in pain from her hot grease injury.

"I'm sorry but you looked so cute dancing and cooking. Come here, let me see." Normani walks over to Y/n, kissing her hand. "Better?"

"Almost." Y/n leans down to kiss Normani's lips. "Now it's better." She smirks and turns back to her bacon to place it on the paper towel. Normani chuckles and goes to sit on a stool at the island.

"Everything smells amazing." Normani says, taking in the smell of all the food on the counter in front of her. It reminds her of when she was a little girl and her parents would cook together in the morning before church. She hums to herself, smiling at the happy memories she has and the ones she's looking forward to recreating with Y/n in the future.

"I went the simple route today," Y/n states, passing Normani a plate and setting one for herself. "Do you want any strawberries for your pancakes? I made a syrup for them too."

"Okay Chef Boyardee. I'd love some."

After they prepare their plates, the two begin to eat their breakfast. As a comfortable silence washes over them, Y/n looks over to see Normani happily swinging her legs as she munches on the pancakes before her. Y/n chuckles and takes a bite of the potatoes. I really did the damn thing on these. She notices Mani again, this time she's humming along to the music in the background.

"You really love food huh?"

"I love food! Like I hate when people can't ever enjoy something without constantly mentioning calories or how unhealthy it is. If it's good I'm gonna eat it." Mani says as she places another bite in her mouth.

"I HATE THAT! Like why do you have to ruin my food. If I die, I'm gonna die happy and full."

"I know that's right!" Mani and Y/n high five before laughing together. Soon, Skate by Silk Sonic plays out of the speaker and Y/n hops up.
