Omniscient POV

The sun peaked into the bedroom window. The warmth engulfed a sleeping Normani into its' essence, awaking her calmly. Although Normani had a quick release last night, she slept a bit more tense than usual since her favorite pillow wasn't there; her lover Y/n. It was true that they hadn't spent a single night apart since Y/n came home from the hospital just last year. Realizing that today was the day they'd link themselves together in until death do them part, she smiled and realized it would be the last time they'd spend a night apart.

"I'm getting married today." she whispered to herself, now even more excited than she was moments before. Almost immediately, a notification came through on her phone. She rubbed her eyes and picked up her phone, seeing that she had a voice message from her fiancé. She blushed at the thought of her and played the message.

"Good morning my love, my beautiful Normani. I hope you slept well and woke up with no worries on your mind. Today is the beginning of the rest of our lives and I'm so glad I get to spend that with you. Enjoy your morning and try not to cry too much. I love you, see you at the alter."

The message ended, leaving Normani swooning over her lover's voice. She sent a quick 'I love you' text to Y/n and headed into the bathroom to shower before her mother, grandmother, and bridesmaids showed up. They were sure to bring the chaos with them.

When they finally did arrive, Normani had settled into her white, silk robe labeled 'bride' and everyone had on their custom sweatsuits labeled with their respective roles. Megan's being labeled 'maid of honor', and the remaining girls were labeled 'bridesmaid'.

Excitement permeated the house as the girls filed in one by one. Andrea was the last to come in, stopping to take a long look at her daughter. Her mind raced with all of their beautiful memories as she watched her pride and joy grow into the woman she is today. Her first words, her first steps, the first moment she ever graced a stage. Even her first heartbreak, when she reassured her daughter that she will find someone to love and cherish her. Today, she could happily say she was right.

Andrea pulled Normani into the warmest hug a mother could give, tightening their embrace as she was on the verge of tears. Normani melted into the hug before verbally greeting her mother.

"Hi mommy." she whispered through her own choked up throat.

"Hi baby girl." her mother replied. The two lingered in the hug for a bit before pulling away. Andrea's face was painted with the biggest smile as she looked proudly at her daughter.

"Mom I'm not even dressed yet and you're already crying." all the ladies laughed.

"I'm just so happy and proud of you." Andrea placed a kiss on her daughter's cheek and entered into the house. "Now come on, let's get you all together for your big day."

"Yes Mani, you know we have to take our pictures. I'm not missing my few minutes of fame." Normani's grandmother added, causing everyone to laugh.

"Alright y'all come on, the makeup and hair team should be here any minute. There's snacks and water bottles in the kitchen if you're hungry!" Normani said and the girls all headed upstairs to shower and begin changing.

Meanwhile...

"Y/n, I hope yo big ass is awake!" Lani entered her friend's hotel room. Unbeknownst to her, Y/n was already in the shower, singing along to 'Be Without You' by Mary J. Blige. Kehlani tried her best to keep her laughs to a minimum as she snuck into the bathroom to scare Y/n.
