Last night's episode of Entertainment Tonight...
"Some exciting news out of LA breaking the internet tonight. Singers Y/n and Normani have officially announced their engagement with a post on instagram, highlighting their engagement rings. The caption was so beautiful, reading: 'God doesn't make mistakes and I'm so grateful He chose to give me you. I love you forever.'"
"So beautiful, the post was displayed on both of their accounts with identical captions. The two also commented on each other's posts saying 'Always' signed with a white heart emoji. Congratulations to the beautiful couple!"
"Yes congratulations you two, we wish you both the best. And double congratulations as it was also just announced that Y/n would be performing in the slot ahead of this year's headliner, who has yet to be announced, at Coachella! I don't know about you but it's shaping up to be a great show already."
"You're absolutely right, her second album just released a month ago and has dominated the charts, debuting at #1 on the Hot 100 and maintaining it since. This also coming after being signed to Beyoncé's Parkwood Entertainment. Can't wait to see what she has in store for us come April."
Normani POV
"Babe. Come on babe it's time to get up." I whisper, lightly shaking Y/n.
"Mm mm." I chuckle as she snuggles back into my chest.
"We have to lock in our venue today baby, or else we're gonna lose it and our date." I kissed her head
"Five more minutes." she mumbled.
"You said that five minutes ago, let's go." she hugged me tighter and shook her head no. I rolled my eyes before I got a bright idea. "You can shower with me and I'll do that thing you like.."
Almost immediately, she popped up and rushed into the bathroom. Soon, I heard the shower turn on. I bust out laughing and remove myself from under the covers. As I'm taking off Y/n's oversized shirt that I claimed for the night, I hear her yell from the bathroom.
"Babe hurry up or else we're gonna be late!" I chuckled to myself because little did she know, I woke her up early because I knew she'd take some... convincing.
"I'm coming baby." I shake my head before stepping into the shower behind her and planting some kisses on her neck.
20 minutes, 5 hickeys, and a car ride later...
"So we're locking in the second venue on April 4th correct?" Autumn, our wedding planner, said while typing on her iPad.
"What do you think baby?" Y/n turned to me. "I love it. It's got the space we need, we can convert the room into the reception hall if we do the cocktail hour on the roof, and they have a capacity for an after party if we decide to do that too."
"You're right, and the price isn't too bad either. It looks exactly how I pictured it with all the different floral concepts too. I love it."
"Whatever baby wants, baby gets. Where do we sign?" Autumn hands us the contract. We both read it over and sign where needed.
"Great, one thing scratched off the list! We can take one more tour of the venue and select what tables, plates, silverware, and glassware you'd like. I recommend setting up that appointment after you choose your flowers and arrangements, as well as any other decorations you decide on. Also, think about how formal you want it to be. Do you have any questions for me?"
"No I think I'm good for now. Any questions baby?" Y/n looks to me again.
"Nope I'm good for now. We have an appointment with our florist next Thursday afternoon around 2:00 if you'd like to join us. You had some amazing ideas and we'd really like your input." I reply
