Three weeks later...
Since I was showing good progress and was healing up nicely, I was released from the hospital three weeks ago and have been home ever since. Today was a busy day for me unfortunately. And I know you're thinking I should probably be resting, but I can't seem to sit around lately. So, instead of sitting at home, I finally made the trip down to the police station to look at the possible suspects they arrested.
Originally they arrested five men since I wasn't able to give my statement about what happened, for obvious reasons. However, they dwindled it down to just three people after matching their fingerprints to the ones found on the gun. I already know who the suspect is, so I'm just ready to get this over with, close this chapter, and give all my attention to my wife.
"Hey, my name is Y/n Y/l/n. I'm looking for Detective Walker." I greeted the receptionist at the front desk.
"Hi Ms. Y/l/n , you can have a seat right over there. He'll be right with you in a moment."
"Thank you!" I took a seat in the waiting area and was about to slip into boredom until I received texts from Mani, Meg, and Amala in the group chat.
Stalli🩵: Y/n/n you know damn well you supposed to be at home😒
The Wife💍: I tried telling her you know she hard headed🙄
Cattington💙: Y/n/n.. i thought you said you were at home.

Me: y'all chill! i'm at the precinct. gotta ID the subject remember? since i'm the only one who saw him🤨
Stalli🩵: oh.. well hurry up!
The Wife💍: can you bring me some food when you come home?🥺
Me: what you want baby?
The Wife💍: wings and fries from that place downtown since you're already down there🙂
Stalli🩵: can you bring some of those milkshakes too? cookies & cream pls🫶🏽
