I walked into my house and Ransom followed.

"Why are you here Ransom, you made how you feel known at Harlan's." I said and took my heels off and walked into my kitchen to get something to drink with my dinner.

"We need to talk." Ransom said.

"Which is what you said outside. You want to elaborate on that?" I asked and he sighed.

"I fucked up." Ransom said and I laughed as I sat in my living room to eat.

"Understatement of the fucking year." I said and he groaned and sat in front of me on my coffee table.

"Come on Faithy." Ransom said going to grab my hands and I yanked them away.

"You don't get to call me that again Ransom." I said and he sighed and hung his head.

"I don't now what you want from me Faith, I'm here trying to make amends so we can work something out for the baby we are having." Ransom said and I sighed and placed a hand on my stomach.

"Ransom...unless you absolutely want to be involved, I'm not forcing you, neither is your family. Your mom and Harlan want to be involved to the point they are making a trust for the baby and inheritance for both it and me." I said and Ransom smiled.

"Good old Harlan, taking care of everyone." Ransom said and I huffed laugh and nodded in agreement. I started going through my bag of food I ordered and handed Ransom my french fries and he smiled.

"You don't want them?" Ransom asked.

"I do but you'll steal them anyway." I said and he laughed.

"So you wanted to talk about what exactly? What me being pregnant means for us? For your new girlfriend? The family? What?" I asked.

"Faithy, I don't have a girlfriend..." Ransom said and I looked at him.

"The girl from dinner." I said and he shook his head.

"When you text me and said you were working on the party I knew I couldn't show up alone. I was being an ass and had to hurt you." Ransom said and I shook my head.

"And yet you sit here and want me to forgive you..." I said and he groaned.

"Never said that but I think we should try to do something. I don't want to miss anything Faith, I want to be there for you when you are emotional or want pickles and ice cream at 4am. I want to have every experience." Ransom said and I sighed.

"You want to have the labor experience for me? You want to gain all the extra weight?" I asked with a smile and he huffed a laugh.

"If I could, I would." Ransom said with a smile. Damn if this smile didn't make me weak. The smile he always used to get out of trouble when we dated and I knew exactly what he was doing.

"Ransom, I don't want to get back together just because we are having a baby. You know that right?" I asked and he sighed but nodded.

"I do know that we have a lot to work towards and I have a lot of shit to make up for." Ransom said and I nodded. "But I did have another idea." Ransom said.

"Which is?" I asked. Ransom pulled out his phone and showed me a house. Perfect family house complete with the white picket fence.

"We buy this house." Ransom said and I looked at him like he was insane.

"What?" I asked.

"Come on Faithy, it has 4 rooms one room for each of us and then one room for the baby, then an office if you want to work from home. It's the perfect family house." Ransom said and I sighed and looked at my hands.

"But we aren't the perfect family..." I whispered and he sighed. He placed his hand under my chin and made me look at him.

"We can be, we just have to work towards it." Ransom said and I sighed. "Can you at least come with me to look at it?" Ransom asked.

"Is your fake girlfriend the real estate agent?" I asked and Ransom nodded and I groaned. I looked back at the pictures of the house and couldn't help but envision living in this house with Ransom and having holidays and birthdays with him and the family in the house.

"What about your bachelor pad? You do love that house and I must say I do too." I said and Ransom shook his head.

"I may not be attached to anyone romantically...yet but I am going to be a father. It's time to grow up." Ransom said and I smiled.

"Wow never thought I would see this day." I said and Ransom laughed.

"What? Me getting rid of the bachelor house?" Ransom asked.

"No, the day you would grow up and man up to something. This was all I ever wanted from you Ransom. I just don't like it took my getting pregnant for you to do it." I said and then I sighed. "Please tell me you are doing this because you want to be included and want to be a part of your kid's life and just not because I asked you for commitment. I won't have anything fake in front of this kid." I said and Ransom shook his head.

"Faithy, this is all me. I'm doing this because I'm tired of being the fuck up of my family. I want to prove to you, my kid and them that I'm serious about this. I want to have this baby with you and have a chance with you as a family." Ransom said and I gave him a small smile.

"What if this doesn't work? What if we move into together and we can't make it work?" I said and Ransom sighed.

"Give it a chance Faithy. How about the kids first birthday? If by the first birthday, if it's still not working, we go our own ways, our own places and work out visitation." Ransom said and I sighed. I knew Ransom was trying but I was so scared he was going to back out before that first birthday, that's just who Ransom was. I heard my mouth speak before I could stop it.

"Okay."
