The RV turned into the parking lot of 'War Zone', your body subconsciously waking up and peering out the window. Holy shit there were a lot of people. Maybe Erica was right about that whole 'avoiding angry hicks' thing. Pulling down your headphones, you paused the tape.

"Shit," You heard Steve curse. Carefully, you dragged yourself out of Eddie's lap and walked to the front of the vehicle. In the front view, it seemed like an even worse idea to come. You recognized towns people, cringing away slightly so there was no chance of getting spotted. It was like War Zone was the new hot thing, and everything was on sale. You watched as people walked out with literal machetes, shivering at the implications.

"Definitely way too many people," You groaned. "The town has hit a whole new definition of manhunt.." You shuddered at the idea, gripping the back of the passenger seat. A hand covered yours, Wheeler giving you a reassuring squeeze. It didn't really do much, but you appreciated her efforts nonetheless.

Nancy took a deep breath, "Everything's fine. You and Eddie just have to stay in the RV, and we'll run out and get supplies. Keep the door unlocked, but stay alert."

Nodding, you went back to Eddie, patting his cheeks to wake him up. Snorting softly he grunted and rubbed his eyes, smiling when he saw you. Relaying the plan, you sat on the table, watching everyone get ready for a supply run.

"We'll try to be as quick as possible. Just make sure that nobody sees you guys, ok?" Harrington warned, pointing specifically at Eddie.

The man raised his hands before you eased them back down, "Don't worry, I'll make sure to keep us out of trouble." Robin, Nancy and Steve smiled at you before taking the kids and running out, just as quickly closing the door as they opened it. Making sure all curtains were closed up, you inhaled deeply. Just had to make sure nobody saw Eddie. You'd never forgive yourself if they found him because of a mistake you made.

Firm arms wrapped around your waist and you jerked, "You're tense." Eddie watched as you turned around, shoulders ceasing to unwind.

"Of course I am, we're surrounded by a bunch of people who want your head on a wall," You whispered, placing your hands on his shoulders. Nodding shortly, Munson swayed the two of you gently.

"Then, let's think of something else," He hummed, rubbing your back gingerly. "Anything else, actually." He chuckled hoarsely, clearing his throat.

"Like how were about to go on a mass suicide mission?" You joked, quirking a brow up at him.

Pursing his lips, he shook his head, "Maybe not that either."

"Ok, uhm, how the hell is school not going to be so incredibly boring after this week?" Giggling, you closed your eyes, relaxing your head back. "I mean we're literally superheroes, fighting off evil. And I have to take an exam when I get back?"

Eddie started to laugh with you, placing his head into the crook of your neck, "Don't suppose 'I fought off an evil force for the town' gets me half credit?" Snorting quietly you rubbed the back of his neck.

"At this point, I'm just gonna be happy to graduate," You relished. "Class of 86' baby." You smirked, watching him light up at the way you remembered his words. His delighted face was almost enough to make you forget all the danger you were about to face.

"Our year, sweetheart," He grinned, lifting you up to your tiptoes as you laughed at his antics. "Our year."

"If you can pass English," You slyly added, pecking his lips.

"I have a feeling someone in my corner might be willing to help me," He hummed, the vibration against your lips making your skin tingle. "Not that I don't totally have it in the bag."
