Dream watched as the sky slowly started changing colors, indicating that the sun was rising and the night time was coming to an end.

The blonde had been wide awake all night after many hours of sleep from some nights ago. His mind kept him company and driven, as well as the brunette, well, atleast for most of it.

During somewhere within the hours of the quietness, the mocha colored eyed boy grabbed ahold of the darkness that clinged onto him, causing him to fall into a deep slumber.

The taller scoffed at the sight of the sleeping knight, knowing that the stubborn boy would've gave in eventually even if he wouldn't have agreed.

Dream wasn't very tired, despite not being able to rest for quite some time. He didn't necessarily train himself not to be fatigue as much- as his character developed along the years, the body shifted, made changes and adjustments to match the system, deciding that much sleep wasn't needed for the owner of the anatomy.

The blonde had been shuffling patiently throughout the hours, enjoying the calm atmosphere as the cold, but gentle wind slapped his face every now and then, passing within his hair, cooling him down.

But now, slight heat took over him as rays of sunlight slid across his tanned skin.

Dream always liked alone time, but he didn't like the feeling of being alone.

Perhaps it was because he was wielded by himself to not rely on anyone, to not need anyone. As time went by, the blonde had grown to be okay with being by himself, but then again, the memories and the nightmares from the past don't go away without having a bit of fun taunting its victim, reminding its prey of what they used to have and how they used to feel.

The quiet snores that rumbled out of the brunette's chest as he slept, which was the only sound that kept the blonde from zoning out, faded, causing the American to glance briefly over to the now awakening boy.

George laid there for a moment, taking his time for his eyes to adjust to the light that shone from up above.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty," Dream teased, sudden deja vu washing over them.

The brunette rolled his eyes. "Do not call me that," he retorts, pushing himself up warily.

The blonde just shrugs, his knees that were once pressed up against his chest was now spread out infront of him, a light groan escaping his lips as he stretched his muscles.

"How long have I been out for?" The brit asked, fearing that he slept for too long.

The blonde bit his lips and hummed, pretending to think just to annoy the other since he already knew the answer.

"All night," he concluded after a minute or two. George didn't respond, instead, he looked around the cave, sighing tiredly.

Dream cocked his head. "What?"

"We really need to get out of here."

The blonde's eye brows knitted together and he said, "We already agreed that we aren't going anywhere until we're physically better. Besides, what's the rush?"

The brunette hesitated, bringing his brown eyes, that were filled with uncertainty, to look at the mask as he chewed the inside of his mouth.

Dream noticed. Jerking his chin up at him, he sternly said, "Hey, don't do that." And George stopped immediately, contemplating if he should answer the question that was meant to be rhetorical.

The brunette scoffed, chuckling to himself humorously. "It's dumb. You'll laugh at me. I know it," he said sadly, despite the grin on his face.

The emerald eyed boy's expression softened, taking note of the obvious sadness in the other's features ; his voice laced with embarrassment, unhappiness and disbelief.

The hunter spoke softly, choosing every next one of his words carefully. "I'm not good with staying in one place for too long, no matter the size or reason. I just can't bare to stay longer than I can manage."

The blonde stayed quiet, thinking about the shorter boy's words.

When silence danced in the air for longer than Dream should've let it, George tensed, staring down and playing with his fingers. "I told you it was dumb," he barely managed to mutter out, a light shade of pink rising up his neck from embarrassment as his face dropped.

The blonde shook his head, eternally scolding himself for making the brunette think such a thing ; that he thought that it was dumb. "I don't think it's dumb, George. I'm glad you told me."

George stayed silent for a second, his eyes retracting up to the mask slowly. ".. Really?" He asked.

The taller nodded, muttering under his breath, "Really." And offered a small smile, even though the brunette couldn't see it.

The brit nodded in approval, fighting back a small smile.

Usually, when George told anyone the previous information and why, they would make fun of him. Saying that it was a dumb reason and that he was just spoiled, though, the brunette didn't see how that part made much sense.

The mocha brown eyes that stared back at the black smiley face softened, morphing into something that Dream couldn't quiet tell what.

The blonde scooted closer to where the other was sitting, but not too close to cause any discomfort for them both. "How about this," he made sure not to accidentally sit on the burnt wood that was now cold. "we can start scouting out the area and see how we're gonna move forward, yeah?" The thief tilted his head.

It took George a second, but he slowly nodded once more. "Okay."

"Then," the blonde proceeded to continue. "we can start moving when we're fully healed. It'll give us an advantage. If we look around now, we'll know exactly what to do next."

A small smile tugged at George's lips, nodding once more, but this time, more determined.
