Water pooled in Dream's eyes as a yawn escaped his lips, exhausted from all the constant walking and lack of sleep. George was tired, too, but nevertheless, the duo continued walking, determined to find a good place to stay, at least for a while.

"You alright?" Dream heard George ask once more, the brunette's pretty skin painted with dark circles beneath his eyes. The blonde rolled his eyes, a smile ticking at the corner of his lips. It had been around four hours since the sea green eyed boy gave into whatever the infection was doing to him, and ever since, the brunette refused to leave him alone, constantly asking if he was alright every five minutes.

But, even though Dream would probably never admit to it in the near future, his chest flooded with an unfamiliar warmth everytime George asked if he was alright, having no one who cared about him in years.

"Yes, George," the blonde retorted with fake annoyance, "I'm fine." The brunette exhaled a long breath, nodding in confirmation as he muttered out some incoherent words.

The sea green eyed boy chuckled breathlessly under his breath, so quiet that George didn't even hear it. "So," the brunette stated, catching the blonde's attention once more. "How do you know so much about the Spiders?" He asked. "I've been infected by spiders before. Nothing new," Dream said casually as he shrugged, causing the brunette to scoff with a shake of the head. "I knew it," George said, causing the green eyed boy to laugh once more.

"But honestly, when my mom started looking into the portals and shit, she came across them. I used to be at her side alot when she did research, so I ended up picking up a thing or two," Dream said, his gaze dropping to the floor as silence engulfed them. "I'm sorry," George muttered just above a whisper after a few moments, knowing just how difficult it was for Dream to talk about his family who was taken by the people he himself worked for. The blonde shook his head, a reassuring smile plastering his lips as he responded with, "Don't worry, George. It's okay. It's not your fault."

Despite the uncertainty that lingered beneath the brunette's breathtaking features, George found himself nodding anyway. "Tell me about yourself, George," Dream let the words fall from his mouth before he could regret it, his eyes flickering over at the other for some sort of reaction.

The blonde's nerves immediately subsided when George gazed at the starry, lonely void up above, seeming as though he was thinking. "There isn't much to know about me, really," the brunette shrugged. "But if you really wanna know something, I'm colorblind, I guess," the brunette stated. Dream's eyebrows furrowed, a smile slowly spreading across his face in pure amusement.

"Really?" The blonde playfully scoffed. "I would've never guessed that. What colors are you colorblind to?" He asked. George shrugged once more, dropping his shoulders down dramatically as he responded with, "All colors except blue." A low laugh emitted from the sea green eyed boy's throat. "I bet blue is your favorite color, no?" Dream teased, watching as the brunette tore his gaze away from him, his pale cheeks flushing in a crimson color as he muttered out, "Shut up."

The blonde let out another breathy chuckle. "So, like what, you can't see the colors of my eyes or some shit?" Dream questioned in a full of fun voice, though a bit of seriousness and curiosity trailed behind it. George brought his gaze up to the sea green eyed boy once more as he stepped closer. Dream allowed it, glancing down at the other with a cocked eyebrow.

The brunette and the blonde's chest were mere inches away from touching eachother as George stared up at the taller, unknowingly maintaining the intense eye contact as he sought to find the answer to the aforementioned question. Dream's eyes traveled along the brit's face, humming quietly in approval under his breath as George furrowed his eyebrows in concentration before answering with, "No, I don't think so. I don't think piss colored eyes are a thing." The knight laughed at his own comment as he took a safe step back.

George began walking at his usual pace again, Dream quickly following behind. "What?! Piss colored eyes?!" The blonde exclaimed, wheeze-like laughs escaping his naturally pink, plumped lips. Of course, Dream's laugh being contagious, George had to fight the urge of his lips twitching up into a smile. The brunette turned his face away from the other, unable to hide his expressions of pure happiness.

The sea green eyed boy almost doubled over, becoming teary eyed as he tried to catch his breath. "God, George--" the blonde started, letting out one last, breathy laugh as he wiped the droplets away from the corner of his eyes. "You really are something." The brunette rolled his eyes, a fond smile on his face as he responded with, "You're an idiot." The taller only responded with a small, innocent smile, though one should not be fooled.

They settled into a comfortable silence and before they new it, they were nearing another lookalike of a cave as they turned and walked down another pathway. Rocks budged together at the top of the actual cave, causing a beautiful arch to be created.

George glanced back at the other while they approached the new found space. "Good?" Dream questioned, referring to whether or not there seemed to be good enough to stay. "Good," George nodded with a faint smile while they entered. Immediately, the brunette dropped his sword on the piece of rock that was shaped as though if it were a bed, being overweighed by the metal's heaviness for far too long.

Brown eyes flickered over to the other side of the cave, and before them, existed a large body of water, larger than any they've discovered on their chaotic adventure. There was a small platform leading out to the pond, and a pleased groan escaped George's lips as he quickly crossed the rooming of the cave and onto the other side.

Dream chuckled as he shook his head, sitting on the said lookalike of a bed as he watched the shorter strip his armor off, assuming that he was going to clean his worn out garments as it had been stained over the past couple of days, given the events. While George did that, doe, emerald eyes trailed the walls of the cave, humming quietly under his breath when something he found interest caught his attention.

It seemed as though someone had been here before ; there were small bags filled with God knows what in the corner of the cave and markings were littered all over the walls. The blonde couldn't decipher what they meant though, it was writing in a language that he failed to recognize.

With nothing better to do, the blonde pushed himself up, mindful of his injuries as he walked over to the said bags. Kneeling down carefully, he reached out to the satchels that looked awfully alot like his own, but they weren't the exact same. Examining the bags, a precaution the blonde always took when he touched things he wasn't familiar with, he squinted his eyes, looking for anything that might be rendered suspicious. But when the sea green eyed boy came back with nothing, he shrugged lightly, slowly opening the bag as a smile spread across his face.

Inside of the bags were small bottles of water and fresh black and blue berries ; fruits that were always Dream's favorite while growing up. With a content mindset, he placed the bags back where he had first found them, ignoring his temptation to take one of the juicy fruits.

The sea green eyed boy found himself settling against the makeshift bed once more. Maybe things weren't going to be so bad here. And with everything they had, the blonde was sure to make it before his infection worsened. Hopefully.
