Wilbur's heartbeat harshly pounded against his ribcage, his body warm with anxiousness as the galloping of his horse's hooves faded in his hearing. A hundred thoughts raced through his mind as a small group of knights followed behind him; including Max and Ranboo. They decided to go to Mount Helicon with a small troupe as to not scare any of the citizens as they knew that they were everything but welcomed in the small village.
The brunette thickly swallowed, his eyes squinted due to the wind that crashed into him because of his quick pace. They were nearing Mount Helicon now, and with each second that they were, he felt his heart sink deeper and deeper into the stomach. But if there was a good side to this, it would be the fact that Wilbur, and the other hunters, were finally out of the deep ravine after such a long time. It had been months since they've been down there looking for their missing hunter, so it was good to have a fresh breath of air after such a long period of time.
The Head Hunter's mind was momentarily distracted before he came to realization that they were on the hill that led down to the town. Pulling on his horse's reigns while his companions followed suit, he watched the village with a slight frown, not even noticing when Max was now at the right side of him. "Hey, it's gonna be okay," Max tried reassuring with a small smile, but anyone who looked at him could see that it was forced because each and every hunter shared similar feelings to the ones that Wilbur currently had. Not wanting to burden Max, he nodded unconvincingly, which only caused the raventte to frown with him. "It's now or never. Who knows, maybe George isn't even there and this is all just a big waste of time," Wilbur muttered bitterly to himself, commanding his small troupe to follow him steadily and carefully down to the outpost. But before that, they tied their horses to the few trees near by.
Slowly, they compromised the town, and the second they stepped into the village, all eyes were on them and lisps of whispers erupted into the air. In half disbelief, quater of surprise and quater of dismay, the people of the outpost automatically cleared a way for the troupe. Wilbur couldn't help but let his eyes cast to the floor, a wave of shame washing over him after he reminisced what had happened at this same exact place years and years ago. Even though the last century was to blame for what had happened, they were still part of the royale community as of now, and so, they were a disgrace to the Helicions.
They continued walking like this until they found the spot Anna had told Eret to meet them at. They hadn't came up with an all too well coordinated plan just yet, but all they knew was that Anna had to be part of it, seeing as that Wilbur couldn't just go up to George and say: "Hey, George. Long time, no see! Where have you been all these agonizingly long months?"
Wilbur sighed at his own thought, and before he knew it, he could make out Anna's slim figure in the distance, and though she was a few meters away, the brunette could see the anxiousness that was smeared all over his face. Approaching carefully, she locked eyes with him, a tint of relief pumping through her veins as Wilbur now stood directly infront of her. They stayed like this for a while; just looking at eachother, and only then, they realized that besides the entire George situation, this was the first time that they would be seeing eachother again after years. After a moment or two, Anna cleared her throat dismissively, wrapping her arms around the taller's torso in greetings. "Hey, Wil," she said in a soft voice, muffled by his thick leather armor. "Hi," the brunette breathed, watching as the girl pulled away from him.
"So, we're here to talk business, yes?" she said in a tone of mockery, glancing at the few men which stood respectfully behind Wilbur, allowing them to have their little so called moment. The Head Hunter couldn't help but laugh, nodding as he did. "Okay, well, we should go somewhere a bit more private," the girl decided before glancing around with more suspicion-filled, brown eyes. Wilbur rolled his eyes, adjusting his low-bow that hung carelessly over his shoulder before reluctantly agreeing. "Alright. Do you know anywhere that we could go?" questioned Wilbur, and the male watched as the female looked up in thought before her eyes started shimmering in realization. "Yes, I do. Follow me," Anna ordered, leading the troupe.
