Tubbo didn't know how long he'd been walking for, or even which direction he came from or went in as the moon began to peak above the treeline. The only thing he could focus on was his thumping, rhythmic heartbeat beating against his ribcage and the adrenaline that flowed throughout his veins that he could practically hear as he continued to run, his feet landing roughly on the concrete flooring with each step he took. He was out of breath and his chest was heaving, sweat trickling down his skin as his clothes stuck to him, as he frantically looked around for his small group of friends.

Tubbo was an idiot for leaving them, he knew that much. And now, because of it, he couldn't seem to find his way; unfamiliar with his surroundings as he was probably most likely mere miles away from them. "Fuck," he breathed out as his pace came to a slow, his brown eyes pricking with frustrated tears and he gritted his teeth; attempting to bite back the water flow that was welling behind his eyes. "Fuck, fuck, fuck," the boy repeated like a mantra, clutching his shirt as his throat burned. "I'm so dumb," he muttered to himself in a void of self hatred, not even noticing the small sounds of footsteps that approached him from behind.

"That, my friend, you are," a familiar voice said as the unknown person placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "What are you doing all the way out here, Tubs?" Tubbo quickly span around on his heel, coming face to face with the mysterious person, and when he did, his eyes welled up with tears of relief as he choked back a sob. "Tommy," Tubbo said, his face scrunching up as he fought back tears. "Hey, what's wrong?" Tommy asked, quick to notice the boy's current state, his arms circling around the shoulders of his small friend. Tubbo buried his head in the comfort of the taller's chest, trembling rapidly as he let out a shaky breath, saying, "I fucked up, Tom. I fucked up really badly." Tubbo's voice cracked near the end of his words, and the sound of it alone was enough for Tommy to feel sympathy for his friend.

"What happened?" Tommy asked once the boy had calmed down a bit, however, he kept the boy in his arms in a protective manner. "I..Wil and I had got into an argument," Tubbo finally stated, his eyes welling back up with tears just by the mere thought of it; he'd seen the way the Head Hunter had given him side glances of confusion and sorrow every now and then and, yet, he still chose to ignore it no matter how much his heart was telling him to reach out to the taller and fix what he had broken. "I'm so sorry, Tubs," the taller brit said, rubbing soothing circles against the other's skin. "I'm sure whatever the argument was about could and will be fixed, yeah?" He continued, smiling down at his brunette friend who only sniffed, shrugging. "I guess," Tubbo said, momentarily returning the heartwarming gesture.

"Come on, it's late, dangerous and cold out here. You can stay with my camp for now," Tommy said, guiding Tubbo down a thin pathway which led to a cozy, warm cave. Immediately, Tubbo noticed the several dimly lit fire camps that were spread throughout the concrete flooring, but then his eyes landed on another person. "Sapnap!" Tubbo yelled out in glee, a wide grin breaking out on his face as Sapnap soon spotted him, returning the expression. Sapnap and Tubbo were always close; they would often look out for eachother. But after all, that's what family was for. "Tubbo!" The ravenette called back in the same tone as he inched closer to the duo, embracing the small boy in a warm hug.

Tubbo sighed against the taller's chest in content, happy to be reunited with some of the people he loved after being away from them for so long. "What are you doing all the way out here, Tubbo?" Sapnap questioned after, his tone shifting to one filled with concern and worry. Tubbo's cheeks flushed a crimson colour out of embarrassment as he cleared his throat, muttering out, "Just got lost, is all." The ravenette seemed to take the hint, and with a nod, he dropped it, understanding that the boy wasn't up to talk about whatever he had went through. "How'd you know where we were, anyway?" The leader of the group asked, and that's when Tommy stepped in from the shadows.

"Actually, Sapnap," the brit breathed out, holding back a chuckle. "I found this idiot not too far away from the entrance of our cave when I was taking a stroll like any other random guy." This caused the ravenette to let out a low, humorous chuckle, and it somehow made Tubbo's cheeks burn with embarrassment even more. "Yeah, yeah, okay. I get it-- I'm an idiot," the shortest of the trio scorned, rolling his eyes playfully which just caused Sapnap to laugh even more. "Shut up, Sap, it's not even that funny," Tubbo continued to grumble. And after a while, Sapnap was finally able to calm down; struggling to catch his breath a bit. "Alright," the ravenette said with a sharp inhale. "let's go see everyone else, yeah?" He asked, receiving reluctant nods from the other two boys.

With a loud whistle, Sapnap was catching the attention of a few other people of whom Tubbo recognized; Punz, Purpled and Technoblade. "Techno?" Tubbo questioned in a confused tone, the pinkette sending him a half smile as he continued. "What are you doing all the way out here? Aren't you meant to be supplying weapons back at the castle?" Tubbo questioned, his eyebrows knitted together in confusion. Technoblade laughed under his breath for a moment before retorting with, "Well, I am, but since Eret is back at the palace, he agreed to take over the weaponry with Tina and so I decided that Sapnap and the others could use a bit more help," he explained, momentarily glancing at the ravenette with a cheeky smile, the gesture being reciprocated. "Oh," the small brit breathed out in half surprise, not once taking Technoblade for the type of guy to work in the field; the pinkette always seeming to be closed off and shy, even untalkative and unexperienced. "I guess that make sense," Tubbo muttered, only receiving a hum in agreement from the pink haired man.

"Tubs, you hungry?" The brit heard Tommy ask from besides him. "We have stew if you want any," Tommy offered with a kind smile. Tubbo smiled up at the boy, saying, "Thanks, Tom, but I'm good. Just tired." Tommy nodded in acknowledgement. "Okay, I know where you can sleep, follow me!" The brunette said enthusiastically, leading Tubbo to a slightly more secluded area in the cave.
