Renna sat between Levi and Jensen, with Jada, Kelan, and Briella on Levi's side. Several other groups sat scattered around the theatre; not as full as she expected.
Everyone focused on the movie playing, but Renna watched Levi's hand on her thigh. At the beginning of the movie, he sat it down more towards her knee, but as the movie progressed, he creeped it up. Slow enough to not notice, but Renna did. Without a doubt.
The more it moved up, the less she was able to pay attention to everything happening on the screen. It passed the point of comfort awhile ago.
Wearing a flowing, knee-length skirt became her biggest regret. He was able to pull it back. Not a lot, but enough. Showing the skin above her knees.
She thought about saying something, but she didn't want anyone else to hear. So, instead, she placed her hand on top of his, forced him to hold her hand, and moved it down to the level of her comfort.
With Levi in her comfort zone and her focus on the movie, her body relaxed, and she was able to calm and enjoy the moment. Lost in the plot of the movie, her surroundings vanished, her mind absorbed in the fantasy world.
Until Levi's hand disappeared. He pulled it from hers to dig into his popcorn box. After stuffing his mouth full, his hand returned to her upper thigh. Way beyond her line of comfort.
Her body tensed again. She ignored some dialogue that sounded important to the plot.
His thumb stroked back and forth over the fabric of her red skirt, sending painful tingles all over her body. He creeped closer to the inside of her thigh.
Deciding to be a little more harsh with her hint, she grabbed his hand, moved it down, and held it. Trying to make it clear.
He changed his grip to hold her hand properly, and she internally sighed with relief.
After missing half the movie, she didn't bother to watch it and instead kept her guards up, waiting for Levi's hand to move and hoping it didn't. Listening to the dialogue, not understanding what they were talking about, she kept her head straight but glanced down at their intertwined hands in the darkness.
As she began to think he had finally taken the hint, he took his hand back to take more popcorn. Holding her breath, she waited to see where he would put it back, and he shocked her when he placed it above her knee.
Thank-you, she thought. Then, his hand slid up, taking the end of her skirt with him, not stopping until he reached her upper thigh. His fingers slipped under the material and tickled her skin.
She squirmed a little, trying to not make it obvious, and tried to push his hand down, but he gripped her legs, digging his fingers in, and fought back.
Unable to stop him discreetly, and forced to give up, she tensed, and tried to ignore him by focusing on the movie. She saw the character's mouth move, knew he was talking, but couldn't hear a single word over her pounding heartbeat.
She swallowed hard. Pushed her back against the chair, her feet into the floor. Trapped her bottom lip between her teeth, biting down.
His touch felt like ants scurrying over her skin. Irritating. Crawling. Prickling. Each swipe of his fingers gave her unpleasant chills. Unsettling. Gnawing.
She tried to pull her skirt down, but it only covered his hand still on her flesh. It did nothing to deter him.
I can't wait for this movie to be over. How much longer until it's finished and we can leave? How long do I have—
Jensen leaned over, blocking Renna's view of the screen with his head. He reached into Levi's popcorn box, grabbing a handful without care.
As he pulled his hand out, he knocked the box and Levi had to act fast to save it before it all hit floor.
Renna jumped at the opportunity to cover herself as soon as Levi's hand left her. She pulled her skirt down and tucked the material under her legs.
"What the hell, man?" Levi whispered over Renna, picking up popcorn off his lap.
"What?" Jensen said with a mouth full of popcorn. "I want some."
They both sat back. Jensen ate from his hand. Levi picked popcorn off his lap and tossed it back into the box, glancing up at screen. And Renna ate the couple of pieces she found on her lap.
