Before she could shut the door between them, he pushed it open again to give her a third kiss on the forehead. She shut her eyes and smiled, enjoying the tender kiss and the even softer stroke of his fingers on her cheek.

They said goodbye all over again and this time he left. She watched him walk down the hallway, leaning against the open door.

He pushed the button for the elevator and turned back to look at her. They both smiled. No words were needed.

The bing of the elevator arriving didn't steal his focus from her. When the doors opened, he gave a final wave, which she returned. Then, he stepped inside and she shut her door.

She thought back on the last three hours, smiling. They played more and even tried out the other two games she bought. Ate snacks. Watched a few episodes of Lucifer on Netflix. And ended up cuddling.

She found out he had been shopping for some essentials. Shampoo, deodorant, chocolate that he ended up sharing with her. He planned to buy some kind of storage for his new room while at the shops but he told her he will go another day for those types of things.

Sadness sank he heart when he told her he should get going.

She leaned back on the door, grinning like a fool. Today has been the best day. I can't believe I actually kissed Jensen. We kissed! I kissed him! He kissed back! And all because I almost ran into...

Her heart stopped. She gasped. Levi! She had forgot about Levi. Forgot about the creepy messages. And that he was downstairs!

Is he still here? Outside? Will he approach Jensen? Or will Jensen see him? What will they do? Fight? Oh god.

She rushed to the kitchen counter and snatched up her phone. With shaky fingers she found Jensen's number in her contacts and hit the call button.

"Pick up, pick up, pick up," she chanted. "Please pick up. Pick up."

The ringing against her ear ended and a second later his voice came through, sounding happy and carefree. "Hello?"

"Ohthankgod. Er. I mean...Hi."

He chuckled. "What's up? Did I forget something?"

"No." Despite the relief flooding her body, her heart pounded fast. "I just...just wanted to make sure you get to your car safely."

His laughter sounded of the sweetest music her ears had ever heard. It gave her beautiful chills from the top of her head to the end of her fingers and toes.

"I'm getting in the car now," he told her, and she heard car door slam in the background. "So I'm safe. Nothing to worry about."

Not until you drive away.

She stayed silent as she listened to the slight purr of the engine starting.

"You still there?"

"Yeah," she answered.

With a chuckle, he said, "Okay. Well, are we going to hang up or do you want to talk until I'm home."

"Are you driving yet?"

"Yeah, I am."

She pulled the phone away from her ear for a moment while she let out a sigh of relief. Raising the phone back up, she said, "No, it's okay. I'll talk to you later."

"Alright, I'll talk to you tonight."

"Sounds great. Bye."

"Bye again."

Placing the phone down on the counter, she walked back to the door to check it had been locked. To her horror, she found it unlocked. It's locked now.

Fear churned her stomach. For the rest of the day, she couldn't stop thinking about the messages and Levi. It made her ill. Even while on the phone with Jensen that night, she couldn't push it out of her mind entirely.

After saying goodbye, and settling down for the night, it overtook her thoughts. She couldn't sleep. It kept her up for hours. At around two am, the panic and her whirling mind became too much and she broke down into tears.

She cried into her pillow, wishing the pain and fear to end. I wish I never met Levi. It would have made things easier. For everyone. A crushing pressure wrapped around her chest, squeezing out agonising sobs.
