Possibilities

・♡『Part Six』♡・

While everyone ate, Renna tried to figure out the plot. Pieced things together. Became more confused. Understood a little, then got lost again.

Finishing his handful, Jensen leaned over a second time to grab another, stopping Renna from watching again.

She had to take a calming breath before she snapped. The two boys beside her had restricted her from watching half the movie she paid to see. She began to get frustrated at it.

He sat back, allowing her to watch. Dialogue started to make sense. She connected it back to something she heard towards the beginning. Slow but sure, she managed to understand a few parts. Things clicked. Pieces were placed in order like a puzzle.

She listened to the main character explaining the problem when Levi's hand returned to the out-of-bounds area on her leg.

At the same time, Jensen leaned in front and whispered to Levi, "Bro. Give me a sip of your drink."

Renna groaned internally.

Levi said, "No," without taking his eyes off the screen.

"Come on. Hand it over."

Not wanting to argue, he handed it over to him.

Everyone else gets to enjoy the movie, but I get to sit between these two and have no idea what has happened.

He leaned over again to pass the drink back and Renna rolled her eyes, but sat back as he did to hopefully enjoy the rest of the movie.

"Hey," Jensen whispered, nudging her arm. "Switch with me."

"What?"

"Switch with me." He gestured to both of their seats. "I wanna be closer to the popcorn."

Before Renna could reply, Levi leaned in and said, "She's my girlfriend."

"So? I don't care. Switch."

"No," Levi answered for her.

"Fine." He flopped back in his seat, crossing his arms. Leaning over once more, he said, "I'll just keep leaning over you." Reaching over her, and blocking her view, he dove into the popcorn box and pulled out two pieces. He sat back, popped them into his mouth, and reached over for more.

"Fine," she said, getting up from her seat.  Standing, they both stayed crouched down as to not disturb the group behind them too much. They shuffled around, squeezing into each other, until they switched and sat down.

Jensen grabbed a handful, while Renna relaxed back, hoping she could finally watch the rest of this movie. The annoyance she held for both boys began to diminish. She gave a relieving sigh.

Jensen looked over at her, reached into the popcorn box, and dumped a handful of popcorn into her lap. "Here."

She stared at him, a little shocked and wondering why he did that. He gave her a quick smile and turned his attention back to the movie.

Relaxing back in her chair, she watched the movie while munching on her popcorn. Nothing the characters said made sense. She couldn't figure out what problems they were trying to fix. Couldn't link characters to their names.

Eventually, she gave up. Couldn't be bothered. Finishing her popcorn, she glanced around the dark theatre.

Silhouetted heads enjoyed the movie. Something happened and people chuckled, including her group. People munched on their popcorn, digging into their boxes. Somewhere to her right, someone coughed.

The faint smell of popcorn, liquorice, and chocolate made her stomach grumble and made her wish for more popcorn in her lap.

She wiped the fake butter covering her hands from the popcorn onto her skirt and picked a kernel out of her back tooth. Resting her elbow on her arm rest and leaning her head on her hand, she had nothing else to do but to watch the movie.
