VEGAS' POV

A month ago after the first mission was done. Korn was happy with the result but Papa wasn't. Knowing that we were not able to get information about the others who's handling their organization.

I am now in my room, thinking about what else should I do to please Pa. But on the other hand, I'm really tired. It's not healthy anymore.

There's a party tonight at our mansion and Pa invited the Main Family but Korn has no intention of going. Only his children will go and of course, their bodyguards.

I don't know why Pa held a party or maybe to show off just to get me into Main Family's circle.

Well, he doesn't seem proud of his son. Not really, never will. He just wants to use me as bait so he doesn't get his hands dirty.

He also told me several times to observe and watch over Kinn's new bodyguard. I've been following him for a month, I don't know what Pa wants to happen but I think it's not a good idea. Pa doesn't focus on trivial things.

And Ken, my spy. He just came here a while ago to report that the Italian Mafia, the enemy of the main family, is on the move now.

I didn't want to get involved in them because it was a big mess when the Main Family declared war but Pa ordered me to do so. But I'm just scouting. I am much happier to act quietly. No one to interfere, no one to destroy.

"Can you observe -------, because I'm wondering what he's up to. I don't know if I can trust him anymore."

I repeatedly read the post-it note that was left for me. I don't know the context but since this is a request, I can take my time to do it. Hitting two birds with one stone!

Some time passed.

Nine o'clock in the evening, the guests gathered here at our house. It was a pool party to be exact.

I noticed Kinn's new bodyguard, I wonder what Pa's intentions are with that man and why he needs to list his movements. Pete, Tankhun and two other bodyguards were with him. They were all in swimming clothes but they are just drinking and chatting.

Main Family only brought a few bodyguards, they were less than ten.

Kinn and Pa face each other at the table, I saw them talking and they seem bonded. Big and Ken was just standing near their table.

The speakers starts playing. We have two types of swimming pools, I am here at the pool that is placed in a higher spot so I could see them all below.

Macau was with me in the pool and there is Nop who was just watching people partying while also drinking a little.

A waiter, our maid, came to us and I took two champagne shots just for me, Macau is not allowed to drink. I immediately drank a glass and put it on the edge of the pool.

I saw Pete being touchy with that one bodyguard. Argh, I don't know what to feel anymore. Pete won't listen to me.

I noticed that they agreed to dive into the pool together, Pete took off his polo shirt and hung it on the chair. Tankhun just watched them have fun. I also noticed that Tankhun's face were all red, he was enjoying the sound of the speaker near him.

Papa and Kinn looked at me from below, are they talking about me?

Macau shivered from the cold. Said that he was already going, he even said he aren't belong to the party because it was a conversation for adults. Crazy.

After a while, Pa got up from his seat and left. I drank the champagne that I had taken from the maid earlier.

Kinn's face is brighter now compared to last month, I wonder why? He doesn't seem to be stressed anymore. While I am stressed every day!

"Boss Vegas, do you need anything?" Nop asked, he must be bored.

"You know what I need." I answered him laughing, he just shook his head at me.

"I'm just getting some alcohol for us to drink, Boss Vegas." he said. I nodded to him, I badly need some for my body.

Tankhun dances with some bodyguards. I watched the guests playing. They were competing to see who would reach the end of the pool first.

Nop came back with a bucket of ice cubes and a bottle of 15 year old El Dorado rum, Whoa! For that little drink, its alcohol count is strong!

Nop filled the glasses and poured rum into it. I took my glass and swirled it around in my hand so that the coldness of the ice would immediately spread to the drink.

When I achieved the coldness that I wanted, I drank it hurriedly and closed my eyes as I swallowed the rum. I really don't like this kind of alcohol, to be honest. The last time I had it, I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing after.

It made me sweat even though I was soaked in the pool, Nop laughed at me and drank his own., "You're still a kid. Still a kid." he said while shaking his head.

We kept drinking for an hour. The guests too.

I swear, their alcohol tolerance is unbelievable! Tankhun is already drunk. Kinn is with his new bodyguard, they are smiling at each other, also drunk.

While there is Pete, dancing like.. what the hell?

I'm laughing on my mind. He looks stupidly cute. Our eyes met and he waved his hands at me., "Khun Vegas! Let's dance! Come here!" he shouted while still dancing.

I almost choke on my saliva, I heard Nop laughing behind me., "Go Boss Vegas, don't let your baby down." he said jokingly in a low tone, afraid that the Main Family might hear.

The people around Pete gasped in disbelief. Ken facepalmed. Tankhun who was lying down the chair, stood up looking at Pete. Kinn dropped the glass he was holding.

Kinn's new bodyguard approached Pete and shook him, "Are you drunk?" he asked Pete.

Pete looked at him before looking up at me again, "No I'm not drunk. I just saw that Khun Vegas wanted to dance. Hehe." he answered.

Ken approached Kinn and gave him a new glass.

"Come up here, Mr. Head bodyguard." I said. I saw Nop left immediately, that rascal!

They are looking at each other's faces. Pete pointed himself, "Me? Why?"

"No Vegas. Why does my Pete have to go up there?" Tankhun asked to which Kinn agreed, "Yeah. I apologize on his behalf." said Kinn.

Ken chuckled beside Big so he looked at him in surprise. Ken then covered his mouth and tried to make a serious face.

Pete was about to walk when that one bodyguard grabbed him, "Pete, you are drunk. Take a rest for a while., he said to Pete before looking up at me, Khun Vegas, I apologize. Our friend is just drunk, he's just like that when he's drunk." he said as he bowed down his head.

I know!

I kept my straight face, my head is getting hot. Maybe because of the rum, I swear to Nop! I'm not drinking El Dorado again.

I let them continue partying and got out of the pool.

I'm going inside the house. When I passed in front of Pete, his eyes widened and he bit his lip. He was about to approach me when Ken called him, "Pete!".

He turned to Ken and Pete was surprised because Ken handed him wine, "You look very thirsty, you need to drink more." Ken said.

I noticed that Ken squeezed Pete's hand which brought him back to his trance. I continued walking when I made sure the main family was not suspicious of what Pete had done.

What a long tiring day!

I went straight to the bathroom to clean my body, I was not satisfied with the pool water.

After I finished showering, I felt dizzy so I sat down on my bed. I relaxed myself for a few minutes so I wouldn't give in to being drunk.

I almost had a heart attack when, Clicked! I heard the knob and my door was swung opened.
