Alice's P.O.V

The walk to the party had been a little bit awkward and I got the sense that Lea wasn't very comfortable but maybe she's just shy. It was still nice to get to chat to her even if it was a bit one-way.

She abandoned me immediately when we got to David's house and I was a little hurt that she hadn't waited to make sure I was okay. But David, being the good host he is, came over to see if I was alright.

I don't know how exactly it happened but I remember hugging him. He was taken aback but he pulled my chin up after a minute, regaining his composure and looked me in the eyes.
"I'm here if you need to talk or anything." He murmured. His breath had felt so good on my skin and when he kissed me I couldn't resist.

Now we're standing in the corner and he's pressed against me kissing me hungrily. I know I need to pull away but it's so difficult. Eventually I manage to pull away and giggle a little. He grins at me.
"Come on." He smiles taking my hand and pulling me through the crowd.
"I'll introduce you to some people."

David stops and chats to too many people for me to remember. They smile and introduce themselves to me and I flick my hair and give them my best smile back. Some of them smell quite distinctly of drink and I'm certain they're drunk but they're still pleasant towards me.

After a while he pulls me over to Lea and her friends. One of the girls, I'm not sure of her name, looks at him in disgust and I'm puzzled. Aren't they friends? All the girls seem to be giving me the same looks except one who is a bit kinder and smiles gently at me.
"Nice to meet you Alice." She says, getting up to walk away.

Lea still isn't warming to me and it's quite unnerving. A good dance song comes on and before I even think about what I'm doing I grab her hand giggling and pull her towards the centre of the room.
I dance and she shuffles awkwardly from side to side, glaring at her feet. Some lads elbow each other and stare in our direction, wolf whistling. Lea rolls her eyes.

I decide to sit down instead and pull her over to sit down as David stands watching, curious.
"I'm not your puppy!" She snarls tugging her wrist out of my grasp.
I look at her, shocked as if she'd hit me.
"Why do you hate me?" I ask.
"I don't hate you now leave me alone." She hates me. Why? Why does my twin sister hate my guts? She returns to her friends who look me up and down. Their eyes seem to pierce my skin.
"Well hello there beautiful." A tall guy with chiselled cheekbones and gorgeous hair smiles at me. He obstructs my view of my sister and when I move to see her, she's gone.
