Alice's P.O.V

Lea rushes out the door. I'm glad she has a date and she's going to have fun and honestly she looks beautiful. I always feel weird saying that because it's like complimenting myself since we are identical. But she is much more beautiful. But I'm also kind of upset that she's gone now and I'm sitting home alone. I decide to chill with my parents and we watch some Disney movies.

By half nine I'm so tired that I decide I need to go to bed. Mom laughs as I retreat from the living room to go to my bedroom.
"That walk to the town tired you out."
"You know I think it's the country air!" I grin back.
"Could be. So who's this boy anyway?"
I laugh now.
"Really? You're asking me to check up on her? He seems lovely Mom."
She smiles. "A mother does worry."

I make my way up the stairs and collapse into my bed.
I open my twitter and several of my old friends show up on my timeline. They don't seem to miss me all that much. Their tweets range from various emotions but none directed at me:

Mackenzie: summer days 🙌
Kristen: what a party so far 🎉
Ally: what a cow 👊
Heather: who does she think she is?
Brit: step away from my man👀
Matty: tonight should be good! 🙌
Mason: the girls are looking FINE 2nite😜

I stop scrolling at this point and drop my phone beside me on the bed. Do they miss me at all? My phone beeps and I would ignore it but it could be Lea so I pick it up anyway. It's a message from Jake:

Hey Al, hate to sound cheesy but we miss you! Hope you're okay! Mom wants you to call her when you wake for a chat x

Well at least Jake and Aunt Amy miss me even a little bit. It's a lot more than any of my friends do. So I pick up the phone and call Jake.
There's a buzz in the background when he answers which fades as he walks away from the party.

"Johnson! What up!"
"Hey Jake."
"Miss me loads?"
I grin. "Hmm you wish."
He laughs. "Bet it's killing you."
"I do miss you actually. And Aunt Amy."
"Yeah she wanted to call but she said we had to give you time to settle or you'd just beg to come home. She was talking to your Mom."
I giggle. "She was probably right."
"Yeah? How's life in Ireland then? Loads of potatoes?"
I laugh. "It's good actually, I really like it! My parents are really sweet and it's fun to spend time with them."
"And Lea?"
"Is amazing! I love her to pieces!"
"That's good! I'll see for myself when we fly out."
"You're coming over?" I gasp, shocked.
"Like at the end of the summer! To bring you home!"
"Oh right of course! S'pose I'll let you get back to your party. Have fun. Talk soon."
Jake is walking back towards the party now and the noise is getting louder.
" 'Kay later."
"Bye."

I hug the phone to my chest. I miss Jake and Aunt Amy so much but I do love it here.
