Alice's P.O.V
I was gunning for him. He lied to me. The one guy who I had let my guard down to and he repaid me by lying to me. How could he? He said he had nothing to do with her. But that wasn't true. I'm sick of my life at this stage. Why do they all just see me as their little barbie doll to mess around and throw away when a better one comes along? I know I left and it was my choice but if he really cared about me he wouldn't have lied.
I grab a jacket and shove some money in my pocket and decide to get some new clothes to deal with this weather. Also because shopping is quite therapeutic. I walk to the small shopping centre which of course is not too far away in a town where everybody knows everybody and everything is close together. It's so different from back home but I think I prefer this new home.
I walk into Penny's which all of the Irish girls seem to swear by. I grab five pairs of black leggings and a couple of hoodies. Yes you may laugh but leggings are so comfortable and you can never have too many pairs. I'm surprised at how cheap they are in comparison to the big labels I usually but but they're every bit as nice.
I wander around the shops not quite sure what I'm looking for until I walk into the hairdressers a few shops down.
"Hi can I help you?" Asks a beautiful hairdresser with a distinctive Irish accent.
"Ehm yes actually do I need an appointment?"
She shakes her head.
"Nope take a seat love and I'll be with you in a minute. She gestures towards the chairs by the big mirrors.
I sit down not quite sure what I want done."Now sweetheart, what are we getting done today?"
I stare at my reflection in the mirror and I realise how different I look from the little girl I used to be. I made sure of that. But now I think I want the girl I used to be back. I want to let down my walls.
"How can you fix it?" I ask her.
She smiles at me.
"Leave it to me honey."
She begins working and I close my eyes so that I won't back out.A while later she pulls the towel from around my neck and gently nudges me.
"It's done!" She exclaims.
I open my eyes and gasp. She has died my hair back very close to my original colour and cut the ends off. I look like I used to before I decided to change. I look like my sister.
"You look beautiful!" She tells me and I feel beautiful.
"Thank you!" I murmur handing her the money and walking out of the hairdressers feeling like a different person. Then I hear a voice behind me.
"Lea?" Do I really look that much like Lea?
"Hey Lea." It's David. He throws his arms around me and hugs me. I push him away uneasily.
"Listen about the kiss. I wasn't going to tell Alice and I was just wondering did you tell her? Because she's acting a bit weird and eh if you did would you maybe tell her you were lying? But nothing has happened with her. Maybe we could give us a shot."
"You're pathetic." I snap and turn away from him, tears stinging in my eyes."Alice?" He asks, uncertain.
"Yes David it's Alice! You are pathetic! How dare you come between me and my sister like that. She can do so much better than you and you know what? So can I. Just don't speak to me again." I snarl walking away.
I run the rest of the way home in the pouring rain, my heart heavy in my chest and tears streaming down my face.
