Hate at First Sight

Chapter 42

~A Couple Of Months Later~

Lea's P.O.V.:

It has now been a long time since I last saw Alice. To tell you the truth I missed her. I liked the fact that I had a sister and that I could spend time with her. But I can't believe she did what she did. Was it on purpose maybe?

I was sitting on my bed with my phone in my hands. I looked at the screen. I opened Alice's number, debating whether I should call her or not.

After about a half an hour having a battle in my mind I pressed the call button. She picked up after the third ring. "Hello, this is Alice," she answered.

"H-hey, Alice. It's me, Lea," I stuttered.

"Oh. Hello."

"How have you been?"

"Pretty good, thanks. Yourself?"

"Are you honestly going to pretend like we don't know each other?" I sighed.

Silence.

"Alice. I just have one question: why did you do it?"

"I didn't mean to do it, Lea. I just did it so it was easier to say goodbye."

"But I hated the way we parted. I miss you, Alice. I miss you so much and I just want you to come back and stay because the past few months have been absolute hell."

"I want to come back, Lea. And I'm coming back for Christmas. And then I have an anouncement to make."

I got tears in my eyes, "what? You are? When are you coming?"

"My plane leaves this afternoon, so I should be in Ireland tomorrow around 7 am."

"Well, I don't care what time, I'll be waiting for you at the airport, at the gate. Oh my God I'm so happy!"

"Me too! I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"

"Okay. I love you, Alice."

"I love you too, Lea."

And with that we hung up.

The next morning I got up around 3 am to get ready. I jumped in the car and drove to the airport. I didn't tell our parents she was coming, I wanted it to be a surprise.

I pulled the car over on a parking space. I looked at the time: 6:45. I jumped out the car and rushed inside the airport and headed to the gate.

Half an hour later Alice appeared. She spot me and instantly dropped her bags running towards me. I ran towards her and we hugged each other ever so tightly.

In that moment I knew:
I got my sister back.
