Alice's P.O.V

Now what? Ben needs to find out what I've done. I need him to hate me too. How can I ensure that he knows? What is the best possible way to do that? I leave the house because I need Lea and Ed to be okay. I want her to hate me but I don't want to ruin her life. They need time to sort this out.

I walk towards the town, stopping outside a little boutique I've grown to love. It's so strange because when I first got here I would've hated a boutique like this. I would've curled my nose up in disgust and walked a little faster. But not today. Not anymore. I've changed and I know I have. I used to be a really terrified girl hiding behind a lot of walls but since I got here there's been several people chipping away at those walls and I think they were ready to give way. But instead I think I'm about to crumble.

A familiar pair of arms appear around my waist and a voice beside my ear whispers "hey beautiful." I turn around and grin at Ben before smiling at his friend, Lee. Ben and Lee have known each other since they were little kids. I've heard a lot about him and even got to meet him at the party.

"Hey Lee!" I smile at him.
"Wanna go for grub?" Ben asks still hugging me.
"Of course!"
We walk down the street towards a quaint coffee shop. I'm really going to miss this place. Ben goes up to order our food and I know what I have to do.
Strike 2: let's go.

I slide further into the booth beside Lee. I make small talk until I'm certain that Ben is on his way back and will see this. I don't give Lee any indication or warning as to what I'm about to do. I pull his face down to mine and kiss him, slipping my arms around his neck. He freezes for a moment so I take advantage of this and keep kissing him. He pushes me away then, his face pale and glares at me.

Ben drops the tray and I hear everything clatter to the floor. Everybody stares.
"Dude wait!" Lee cries sliding away from me and following Ben. I follow after them, desperately trying to block out the whispers around me.

"Was the other one her boyfriend?"
"That's horrible!"
"Shocked."
"His face."
"Pushed her away!"
"Ran out he did!"
"Sure kids these days are a disgrace."

I pull my hood up and brave the wind which had turned harsh.
I run after them.
Lee turns to me, his eyes are icy, cold.
"You really are a bitch." He snarls.
Ben doesn't look at me.
"Go away Alice." He mutters staring at the ground to my left.

I nod sadly and walk away. So now he hates me and Lea hates me! Just a few more people to push away. My heart aches as I walk away and the tears roll down my cheeks, frozen in the bitter cold.
