Alice's P.O.V
I rush upstairs and grab my coat. I wait until I know Lea isn't lingering in the hallway anymore before running down the stairs and out the front door. I don't want her to follow me right now. I slow to a walk and walk the rest of the way towards the town.
I wish now that I had cleaned myself up before coming back into the town and hope that nobody I know will see me. I walk towards the photo shop and smile at the lady behind the counter.
I'm about to speak to her when I hear a voice behind me."Lea?" An Irish lad with green eyes and a dark quiff is smiling at me. He shifts awkwardly on his feet.
"Um hey!" Does he know Lea has a twin? Will he believe me if I tell him it should I just let him think I'm her? I can't pull of an Irish accent though.
He raises an eyebrow probably noticing the accent but he continues.
"How've you been?"
I smile at him.
"I heard you were with David."
I shake my head furiously biting my lip trying to decide whether or not to tell him who I really am.
"Ehm I'm actually Alice. It's nice to meet you."
I see the recognition in his face and he smiles back at me."Sorry it hadn't even dawned on me that it could be you. Wow you really do look like her."
I nod laughing.
"I get that a lot. So you know Lea?"
He nods biting his lower lip.
"Yeah she's great."
And then I get it.
"Oh my gosh! You like her!" He shakes his head shushing me.
"Nnnnnnnnnoooo." He splutters."You're wrong."
I grin at him.
"Ah so she doesn't know! She'd like you." I turn to the shop assistant.
"She'd like him right? He's likeable."
The woman laughs.
"I'm sure she would."I grin at him.
"Ask her out?"
"Nope."
"Why?"
"She wouldn't even know I exist."
"You're such a wuss."
He grins at me.
"Ah yeah whatever. You don't know me."
"I know that life's too short to waste it being afraid." I beam at him.I pull out my phone and my eye pencil and scribble her number on his hand.
"Call Lea and ask her out tonight okay?"
"Maybe."
I smile at him.
He walks off typing the number into his phone and I beam. My work here is done. Call me Cupid."Hey." I say to the lady behind the counter.
"So anyway sorry about that, I was wondering if I could get a photo made into an iPhone case? And another on a canvas?"
The lady smiles at me.
"Of course."
I show her the pictures I took with Lea earlier and she smiles.
"You're beautiful girls. It must be lovely having a twin."
I smile back at her. "It really is!"She tells me to come back in an hour to collect the photos. I head to 'Forever 21' and pick out a beautiful blue skirt and a dainty white top with some blue wedges. I grab a pair of floral leggings and a sweater too. I choose a bracelet and a heart necklace. I place them all on the counter and pay the money before heading back to the photo shop. I kill a lot of time in clothes shops and so it was time to collect them already.
I thank the lady for my purchases and place the cover on my phone. It's amazing and I love it. I get home after half an hour or so and rush to find Lea.
She's sitting on her bed staring at the ceiling.
"Hey! I got you something!" I pull the canvas from the bag and she smiles at me. "That's adorable!"
I grin. "Wait I've got more." I pull out the outfits I chose for her and hand them to her.
"You've got plans okay? And you've got new clothes so you can't complain that you have noting to wear and I'll do your hair and your make-up and your nails and it'll be so fun!"
She smiles, looking at me. "Thank you!" I beam at her excited. I love having a twin.
