26 - Why?

Blaire suddenly hopped out of Ryler's hands and ran forward while looking at the icecream in her hands. I doubt she saw Blaze, sa likod kasi siya ni Ryler nakatingin kanina. She suddenly bumped into Blaze before he can even leave and I remained still.

My heart thumped fast, my breaths became heavy, I don't know what to do.

Nagulat si Blaze nang napaupo si Blaire sa sahig at natapon ang hinahawak niyang icecream dahil nga nabangga siya nito. How did I even forget that Blaze came here? Na syempre, kapag nandito siya, there is a big possibility na sa bahay siya ni Yva pupunta?

Nataranta si Blaze when he saw that Blaire was on the verge of tears, "Hala... are you okay?" he asked.

Tumakbo kaagad ako palapit sa kanila bago niya pa ma-realize na anak niya si Blaire. But before I can lay my hands on my child, hinawakan niya ang kamay ko. His brows furrowed as he focused them on Blaire's neck. Oh no.

"That necklace... diba bigay ko sa 'yo yan as a pair of earrings?" he switched his gaze to me and I felt a chill in my spine.

He is angry. Ngayon ko lang nakita si Blaze na sobrang galit. I'm sure he's got a hint about who Blaire might be. I gulped and snatched away my hand from him before tightly hugging Blaire.

"You're seeing things," Ryler butted into the conversation and stepped in front of me.

Blaire started to be confused, she held her necklace and spoke, "Are you special to mommy, mister?" tanong niya na nagpatigil sa aming tatlo.

I ran away as soon as I could, dragging Ryler with me, leaving Blaze behind. Pumasok kaagad ako sa sasakyan at nag-volunteer na si Ryler na siya na raw ang magda-drive.

Ryler sighed, "You can't... always run away from him, Yara." he stated, eyes not leaving the road.

When I arrived here, I drove him away from my thoughts. When I bumped into him at the supermarket that day, I left as soon as I recognized him. And now... I left him again.

I'm confused. I'm scared. I'm... nervous. But still, I've got this feeling that I miss him so much. I want to be with him, I just don't have the guts to talk to him because I am ashamed. Ashamed of always running away. Ashamed of keeping the existence of his kids a secret from him.

Ryler told me that he won't stop by the condo for now, may shoot pa kasi siya in thirty minutes. Tatawagan niya na lang daw ang driver niya para sunduin siya.

When we finally arrived home, I was shocked to see what Abby was watching on TV. A picture of Beau, Blaire, and me! Hindi ko alam kung paano nila kami nakuhanan. And that's when I realized... picture iyon namin na nandito kami sa condo!

Gerome, that bastard. Sigurado akong siya ang may gawa nito. Did he hire someone to post there? O kaya he used some automatic post thingy to post this at a certain time?

Not long later, iilang reporters na ang kumakatok sa pinto namin. I immediately called for security, and within around fifteen minutes, nawala na sila.

I need to leave this place with Blaire. I need to put extra protection to Beau.

A few hours later, Abby and I started packing our bags. Kaunting mga damit at essentials lamang ang dadalhin namin. I told her na okay lang kahit dito lang siya kasi wala namang may pupuntang reporters dito the moment they saw me leave the building, but she insisted on going with me to wherever I plan to live from then on.
