27 - To Start Again

The next day, I decided to talk with Blaze. Kagabi kasi ay hinatid niya na lang ako pauwi kasi sobrang gabi na daw and we were not really in a state where we could've talked calmly. We were too stirred by our emotions last night.

We decided to talk at Yva's place tutal umalis naman daw sila ni Yva ilang araw na ang nakalipas. I stood awkwardly infront of the door while I tapped the doorbell.

A few seconds later, Blaze ahad already opened the door. He was wearing gray shorts and a simple white tshirt with a small ramen print sa upper right. He escorted me to the living room. He excused himself to the kitchen and I felt awkward.

"Juice?" he asked, holding a pitcher full of strawberry juice on one hand, and a glass on the other.

I nodded. He knows my favorites, alright.

Umupo sa harap ko si Blaze at nilagyan ng juice ang glass. He handed it to me and I accepted it, trying to surpress the awkwardness I've felt mula kanina. I took a sip from it and finally decided to break the awkwardness in between us.

"How di-"

"What ha-"

The both of us giggled when we realized that we talked at the same time. Blaze cleared his throat, "You go first," he said.

"How did you know I was here?" tanong ko sa kanya.

He smiled, "I hired men to find you... pumunta ako sa iba't ibang mga bansa, and when I realized na hindi ko kayang hanapin ka mag-isa, I hired men. Pero kahit ganun, wala pa rin. I was surprised when Yva suddenly sent me a photo of you from here one day, kung hindi siguro dahi-"

I cut him off, "What? Si Yva?" I asked.

Tumango siya, "Yeah. Mula diyan sa balkonahe niya. You were eating icecream with the little boy..." ngumuso siya bigla. Is he thinking about that 'little boy''s name?

"Beau."

"Ah, oo. Si Beau! Nag-send siya sa akin ng picture niyo ni Beau na kumakain ng icecream sa icecream-an diyan sa baba mula sa balkonahe niya. She even teased me."

Si Yva pala, ah? Akala ko ba sinabi ko sa kanya na 'wag muna ipaalam kay Blaze ang tungkol kina Beau? She will get an earful from me later, kapag makita ko siya ulit.

"So that's why you came here?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Umiling-iling siya, "No. At first, I was having second thoughts, kasi baka nga anak mo si Beau- and yeah, anak mo nga siya- but then, nag-chat ulit si Yva na nasa panganib ka daw."

Oh.

I think it was about the time where Beau was kidnapped. I can understand Yva on that one. Blaze atleast needed to know what happened back then... he needs to know.

Blaze continued talking, "And then nakita kita sa grocery nung araw na 'yun, but then you ran away. I had your contact information already, but I decided not to call you... kasi alam ko ang tungkol sa kay Damon. When you visited Yva's house that time na kailangan mo si Eros, naroon din ako, I just hid. Sa totoo lang, lumabas talaga ako sa bahay na 'to nang nakita kita kasama sina... Blaire...?" he seemed to ask me kung tama nga ba siya.

Tumango ako kaya nagpatuloy siya sa pagsasalita, "At si Ryler. It wasn't a coincidence, really. Kagabi, I wanted to go out for some fresh air and spotted you there. I... I don't know what came onto me, pero sa oras na iyon, all I ever thought about was to hug you. Pinigilan ko naman sarili ko. It wasn't really appropriate for me to do so."

He then explained to me how he found out yesterday na anak ko nga sina Beau at Blaire. Nakita niya raw sa news, just how I found out it was leaked as well.
