c h a p t e r 18

Yang Y/n's POV

  "WHO ARE YOU?!" He asked me as he peeked his head from behind the tree. "I asked first!" I said to him. "Put the rock down!" He said with a scared tone. "Why should I?!" "Because I'm not gonna hurt you!"

  I put the rock down and looked in his direction. He came out from behind the tree then looked at me. "I'm Hyunjin..." he said as he picked his hands up.

  I looked at him then backed up a bit. "Okay...where are you from?" I asked him. "See that over there?" He said as he pointed to the castle. "Yeah?" "I'm from the castle...please don't hurt me!" He said as he folded his hands like he was praying.

  "You're from the castle?! Ain't no way!" I chuckled a bit. "No, I am!" "Then why are you out here?" I asked him as he put his hands down. "To get fresh air? Im not aloud to go out, but here I am..." he said as he looked around.

  "What about you? Who are you? Where are you from?" He asked me. "Im Y/n and I live close by here in a little cottage..." I said looking at him.

  "Wait...Y/n?" He said confused. "Yeah? That's my name..." I said as I looked at him. He stood there silently and stared at me, almost as if it was into my soul. "Uhm?" I looked confused at him.

  "Sorry! You're name just sounded really...familiar...it's a nice name..." he said still looking at me before he looked away. 'What a coincidence...' I thought to myself.

  "It's fine..." I said as I looked around. There was an awkward silence then we looked at each other. "How come you said you can't go outside?" I asked him.

  "Oh, because...I uh...help the royal family since I work at the castle." He smiled a bit. "Oh, that's cool..." I smiled slightly.
 

We stood there again in awkward silence before he broke the silence. "So, do you like to come out here often in your free time?" He asked as he sat down on the opposite side of the creak. "Yeah, I do. It's pretty nice and peaceful out here." I said as I sat down too.

  "What about you?" "I love it out here. It's so relaxing, and it helps me take my mind off things." He smiled as he looked at the scenery.

  "So, how old are you?" I asked him. "Seventeen." He said as he looked towards me. "What about you?" "Seventeen too." I smiled a bit. "Cool, so we're the same age." He said as he chuckled a bit. "Yeah, but I'm surprised you work in the castle at a young age...I would think they needed someone older?"

  "Heh, well they hired me because they needed me at the time, so I've just been working there." "That's cool." I said.

  "So you live in a cottage?" He asked. "Yeah, it's a little ways over there, but not too far." I said as I pointed to a path behind me.

  "That's cool." He said. "I'm surprised I haven't seen you before, all the times I've come out here I mean." He chuckled slightly. "Yeah, me too. I guess there's a first for everything," I shrugged.

  "I should get going...I think they need me at the castle again..." he said as looked around trying to not make any awkward eye contact. "Okay...sorry I sort of threw a rock at you..." I said as I chuckled a bit. "It's fine, we just caught each other off guard, that's all."

  "Did you want to talk again tomorrow?" He asked me. "Yeah, sure. What time? I'm off tomorrow, so it shouldn't be a problem." "Uhm...maybe at five?" "Yeah, sounds good. Well, I'll see ya tomorrow." I said as I smiled and got up.

  "Yeah, see ya." He said as he got up too. We waved then both went our separate ways.

Hyunjin's POV

  I climbed through the hole, then went up my balcony and went inside my room. I went into the hallway then walked in Jisung's room. "I'm back." I said as I whispered to Jisung who was watching T.V.

  "How was it?" He asked as I sat by him. "Good, I met this girl. She seemed cool." I said smiling to myself a bit. "You did?! Did you tell her who you were?!" Jisung whisper yelled at me.

  "No, I'm not a dummy! I just said I worked here in the castle, that's all. But get this, her name was Y/n." I said as I reached for his water then took a drink.

  "Wait, isn't that the name of the girl that would come over?" "Yeah, but there's tons of other girls that have her name. We're gonna meet again tomorrow, so maybe I can see if it's really her then."

  "What time are you meeting at?" He asked. "At five." I smiled proudly. "Don't you have classes from three to six dummy?" He said looking at me. "OH SHOOT! I DO!" "Now what?" He asked again.

  "I'm not sure, I don't even know if I can sneak out! I already told her five though...I'll find a way though..." I said as I looked out the window towards the woods.
