Hwang Hyunjin's POV

  I looked towards my door and saw my mom walk in. She looked really pissed off.

  "Hwang Hyunjin. What do you THINK is wrong with you?!" She said as she came over and slapped me. I shut my eyes in shock then opened them and looked back at her.

  "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THAT COULD DO!? YOU'RE A PRINCE! YOU SHOULDN'T BE SNEAKING OUT!"

  I just sat there and stared at her without saying a word cause I knew she wouldn't listen.

  "Hyunjin. Who is Y/n." "Mom she's-" "The FULL truth."

  I sighed then looked out the window. "She was a girl I met at the creak...I went out to get some fresh air since I'm never aloud to go anywhere, so I went into the first and to the creak. She was there and we just clicked..."

  "Then what happened?!" She said as she raised an eyebrow. "She lives with two brothers and she got attacked by a guy that had her for years but was abusive towards her...I helped her and my money from my bank account went towards fixing their cottage..."

  My mom looked at me furious with rage in her eyes. "Stand up." I looked at her confused then stood up. She raised her arm then pushed my side where my stab wound was. "OW!" I said as I pushed her arm.

  "SO YOU DID GET STABBED!? DO YOU KNOW THAT THIS CASTLE LIES IN YOUR HANDS!? YOU CANNOT DIE!"

  "WELL, I WAS PROTECTING HER! ISN'T IT MY DUTY TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE OF OUR TOWN!?" She shook her head then looked at me. "You are to never leave this castle again. Jisung got in trouble when I found out you had been texting her. You are NOT to see her anymore and there will be higher guards and security. Is that understood?"

  "No! You can't keep me from her!" "HYUNJIN! I SAID WHAT I SAID! YOU ARE TO STAY HERE AND DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO WITH SANA IN ORDER TO BE KING!"

  "WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO BE THE STUPID KING!?" My mom widened her eyes in shock. "DO NOT SAY THAT! YOU ARE THE ONLY HOPE WE HAVE!"

  "WHAT ABOUT JISUNG!?" "YOUR BROTHER IS NOT READY! YOU BETTER MAKE THIS WORK WITH THE MINATOZAKI FAMILY!"

  I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "You are grounded from your phone until I say. You are also to stay in your room." She said as she walked out the room.

  "UGH!! DAMMIT!!!!!!!" I said as I punched my wall which led the legos that Y/n and I had built together years ago fall and break.

  I looked down at the legos and felt my eyes get watery. I sat on the floor rebuilding the pieces as a tear fell down my face.

  "Y/n...if you were here...how would you react to this situation? Would you have me listen to my mom...or rebel and still meet with that girl..." I mumbled to myself as I rebuilt the piece.

  I placed it back on the shelf then went and laid on my bed. There's gotta be a way to make sure she's still okay and safe...

  I heard a knock on my door then saw Jisung walk in. "Hey...sorry about what happened." "It's whatever."

  He came and laid next to me. "Look, I can help you try to find a way to get in contact with her...I'm not sure how, but I'll try to Hyunjin." I looked at Jisung and nodded slightly.

  "Thanks." "No problem." We laid there in silence then there was another knock on the door then our dad walked in.

  "Hyunjin. Can I talk to you?" I looked at him and nodded then saw Jisung get up and go out the room. My dad came and sat next to me then I sat up.

  "Tell me what's going on." I sighed then explained everything to him. From the time I met Y/n, when she got attacked, and when I helped her right now."

  "Wow...I'm really surprised that you did all that to help her. That's great son, especially for your king roll...but, it is dangerous to go out the castle."

  "I know...it's just, I couldn't stop leaving...I finally got to see the outside world and finally had a friend out there. It felt nice knowing that she didn't talk to me just because I was the prince..."

  "That is true...question..." "Hm?" "Do you like her?"

  I sighed then looked out the window. "Does it matter?" "Your feelings matter, and I'm not mom. Tell me."

  "I do...I like her...after she was attacked, I was so worried to leave her side...she grew up having a terrible life, it seemed like I was there for her when her brothers were unable to be..."

  "I understand, but you know you're going to have to lose those feelings..." "But you just said..." "I know son, but it's either I tell you calmly or your mother yells her head off." I chuckled slightly then looked at him.

  "How do you deal with mom? She's always so picky and wanting everything to do with the royalty bloodline..."

  "I just go with the flow. I do my own things from time to time without her knowing, like this conversation so I'll just tell her I talked to you about not going out anymore. I won't mention your feelings for her."

  "Thanks dad." "Of course. Just, try to not talk or mention her...if anything just be on your mom's good side and maybe it'll change her mind...I talked to Jisung and he and I are willing to help you at least be able to see how she is doing."

  "Thanks dad, it really means a lot. You and Jisung are the only ones that actually listen to me." "Of course son." "Also, did you know that Sana is in love with someone else? I haven't told mom, but she said her parents are okay with it..."

  "Yeah, her parents mentioned it and your mom lost her mind when they left, but she's trying to get them to change their mind or at least try to stay in business with us."

  I nodded then looked at him. He stood up and left the room and I laid back down and fell asleep.
