"That 10 minutes felt both incredibly long and too fast at the same time," Choi Han admitted.
"That's how it felt to me also. I just kept worrying that we would run out of time to find all the bombs, but it kind of felt like that 10 minutes was never going to end too," Lock agreed.
"That's understandable. I think most people in that situation would have felt similar," Alberu responded.
"It felt similar even without that 10 minutes. The attack seemed to happen really fast and take an eternity to end at the same time," Choi Han* remarked.
"I agree. It felt like one moment everything was fine, the next we were under attack, and then we were left to deal with the aftermath, but at the same time the actual attack felt so long with every new explosion," Alberu* added.
"It probably felt quick because the attack didn't actually take that long to carry out, but because of how hyper aware and focused you were during the time of the attack, it seemed to stretch out and felt longer than it actually was while it was happening," Cale suggested.
"I've had that happen too while fighting monsters," Lee Soo Hyuk* commented. "Felt like I had been fighting for ages, but only a few minutes had passed."
"I think most everyone in this room has probably felt like that at least once at this point," Rosalyn remarked.
At her words most of those in the room could truthfully say they had.
Chapter 44: Somehow (2)
Cale could see Choi Han grabbing someone as the Black Dragon made his report. It was the person the Black Dragon determined to be in possession of the magic bomb.
Cale could see the necklace on the person's neck.
'That must be it.'
"Those fucking Arm bastards really are scum," Cage* cursed at them.
Many others in the room joined her in cursing at Arm and the horrible things they did.
"We can't change what's already happened in our world, but we will make sure to make them pay, with interest, for what they have done and stop what they have planned or at least mitigate the damage," Alberu* said.
"Pfft. You sound like young master Cale there with the comment about making them pay back with interest," Bud chuckled.
His comment had those that knew Cale well chuckling.
"He's right. You sound just like our dongsaeng," Alberu agreed with his own chuckle.
Alberu* smiled when he heard Alberu's words.
"I don't mind that at all," Alberu* mumbled to himself.
Cale could see Choi Han ripping off the person's necklace. At the same time, Cale's body was jerked. Someone had pulled Cale's arm.
"Cale!"
It was Eric Wheelsman.
"Sorry about that. I was panicking at that time and wasn't thinking clearly. I didn't hurt you, did I?" Eric asked.
"Not at all. It just caught me off guard is all," Cale answered.
"That's good. I'm glad I didn't hurt you," Eric replied with relief.
Cale slowly looked around him, starting with the top of the Bell Tower.
"Hahahaha-"
The blood crazy mage Redika was laughing.
