"Sigurado ka ba sa gusto mo?"

I raised my head and looked at Elias in front of me. Bahagyang tumaas ang kilay ko sa tanong niya. He was asking me if I'm sure about the food I will order. I immediately nodded to tell him that I'm sure tapos siya naman ang pumili ng kaniya.

When he finally have decided what to order, the waiter immediately left. Inaya ako ni Elias na kumain ng dinner kasama siya, this was after our work.

"Is this a date?" I asked, hiding a smirk.

His lips twisted and he immediately shrugged. "What do you think?"

"I think... This is a friendly date." I looked down, teasing him. Saglit siyang natahimik pero nakasagot naman pagkatapos.

"Okay. Friendly date it is." He shrugged it off.

"Okay. Who's going to pay? 50/50?" I asked again.

He looked at me. "No. I'll pay."

Ilang beses ang ginawa kong pagtango sa kaniya. We just talked about many things while waiting for our food to come. Pero 'yong nasa isip ko 'yong inorder kong pagkain, hindi ako sigurado doon pero gusto ko kasing makasubok ng iba so I bite on the challenge. Kung hindi ko magustuhan ang lasa, okay lang. At least I've tried something new. Tapos hindi na mauulit.

"Why did you take me out for a friendly date?" Tumaas ang kilay ko.

The side of his lips rose up. "Because you're my friend."

Natahimik naman ako, biglang nawala sa mood. I placed both of my arms together over my chest, looking away. Hindi ko siya pinapansin pero tinatawag niya pa rin ang pangalan ko para kulitin. Friend, huh? I was just a friend to him? Okay!

"Chantal, are you okay? Is there a problem?" He asked, looking at my face.

"I'm just a friend lang pala, huh." I uttered.

"Huh?" He playfully muttered, having a smirk on his face.

Hindi ako sumagot. Dumating na 'yong pagkain namin. I was just staring at my food, kind of disappointed. Parang hindi masarap! Baki ganoon? Hay nako! Mas lalo tuloy akong nawala sa mood. My eyes turned to his plate, natakam ako sa inorder niya. Sana pala 'yon na lang din ang inorder ko pero wala na. Nasa harap ko na. I just shrugged, getting my utensils so that I could already start eating.

"What?" He stared at my face.

My face got crumpled because of the taste of my food. I immediately shook my head, not liking the taste.

"Do you want mine?" He offered, touching his plate.

I shook. "No, thanks. That's yours."

"But you want it." Sabi niya naman.

I blinked. "I want it but it's not mine. I'll just stick to this. Mauubos ko lang-"

"Let's switch," he said. Getting my plate away and placing his food in front of me.

Laglag panga ko siyang pinagmasdan. "Are you sure?"

He shrugged. "Yeah. I ordered that one just incase you did not like what you have ordered."

I did not talk. His words just left butterflies inside my stomach. I immediately felt my cheeks burning so I decided to just start eating. Talaga? He ordered this just incase I did not like what the food that I have ordered? Okay. Okay, thats... unexpected. I bit my lower lip to stop myself from showing a smile in front of him. Baka sabihin niya kinikilig ako.
