"Happy Birthday, anak!"

Months have already passed. Everything became so different. Elias and I became great co-parents for Alas. We were celebrating Alas' 4th birthday today. It was in Spiderman theme because it was his favorite fiction superhero.

"Thank you, Mommy! I'm 4!"

Natawa naman ako. "Yes, anak! You're 4!"

"I'm already a big boy, Mommy, right?" His eyes lit up, hoping I would agree.

"Yes. You are. But don't grow too fast, huh." I touched his chin.

He just giggled and went to his dad para magpabuhat. It was time for Alas to blow his cake, we immediately gathered around him on a big table where the cake was placed.

Time really flies so fast. Baka mamaya hindi ko na namalayan na nagdala na pala ng girlfriend sa bahay si Alas! Hindi ko ata kinakaya! Sana matagal pa siya bago lumaki! Gusto ko pa siyang matutukan para lumaki siyang maayos na bata.

"Happy Birthday, Alas..." I sang. "Happy Birthday... Happy Birthday.. Happy Birthday to you,"

"Blow mo na, anak." Narinig kong bulong ni Elias sa kaniya bago ako nilingon. We ended up smiling with each other. All clapped after the cake was blown.

The celebration started. We just rented a place for this celebration, may mga bata rin kasing narito. 'Yong iba, anak ng other friends namin ni Elias. Kaya nag-arrange din ng play area para sa kanila. I sat down the chair while watching Alas play with the other kids on the play area. He looked so happy that's why I couldn't help but smile.

Natapon ang tingin ko sa lamesa nang may maglapag ng plato na may lamang pagkain doon. I looked up and it was Elias, he gave me a smile when he saw me looking at him. Tumabi siya sa 'kin sa katabing upuan, kumakain na rin.

"Thank you, Elias." Kinuha ko ang atensyon niya. "Thank you for being here."

Saglit siyang natigilan habang nakatingin sa 'kin. Maya-maya pa ay namuo na ang ngiti sa labi niya. He leaned closer to me and whispered.

"I'm glad that I'm here." He smiled to me.

Maya-maya pa ay napunta ang tingin ko sa entrance. I immediately stood up when I saw my father entering the place. Naramdaman kong tumayo din si Elias kaya napatingin ako sa kaniya.

"Daddy mo," he said, looking at my dad.

Tumango ako atsaka naglakad para salubungin si daddy, nang magtama ang paningin namin ay kaagad siyang lumakad palapit sa 'kin habang nakangiti. I hugged him immediately when I reached his spot.

"Thanks for coming," I kissed his cheek.

"Where's the birthday boy?" He chuckled, lifting the paper bags he brought.

Hinatid ko siya kay Alas. Nang makita ni Alas ang lolo niya ay kaagad siyang tumayo at pumunta sa may fence, 'yong harang sa play area. I helped him get off from the fence. Kaagad siyang tumakbo tsaka yumakap kay Daddy.

"Wow! Gifts! Thank you, lolo!" Alas happily uttered, getting the gifts.

"Happy Birthday, Alas," my dad bent his knees to kiss Alas on his cheek. Napangiti naman ako. "I'm sorry, your lola can't come."
