"It's not like how it was before. It's grown. A lot. And, I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs," Hopper states.
"Demo-dogs," Dustin corrects.
"I'm sorry, what?" Hopper questions.
"I said, uh, demo-dogs," Dustin repeats. "Like Demogorgon and dogs. You put them together, it sounds pretty badass-"
"How is this important right now?" Hopper exhales.
"It's not. I'm sorry."
"I can do it," Eleven says.
Everyone looks over and then at Hopper, waiting for his response.
"You're not hearing me," Hopper complains.
"I'm hearing you. I can do it."
"Even if El can, there's still another problem. If the brain dies, the body dies," Mike says.
"I thought that was the whole point," Max responds.
"It is, but if we are really right about this... I mean, if El closes the gate and kills the Mind Flayer's army..." Mike begins.
"Will is a part of that army," Lucas says.
"Closing the gate will kill him."
We all slowly walk over to Will's room, with Joyce leading the way.
"He likes it cold," she mutters.
"What?" Hopper questions.
"It's what Will kept saying to me. He likes it cold," Joyce informs.
Joyce walks over to Will's open window and shuts it.
"We keep giving it what it wants," Joyce says.
"If this is a virus, and Will's the host, then..." I start.
"Then we need to make the host uninhabitable," Jonathan says.
"So if he likes it cold..." Nancy begins.
"We need to burn it out of him," Joyce adds.
"We have to do it somewhere he doesn't know this time," Mike says.
"Yeah, somewhere far away," Dustin adds.
___
Hopper grabs Will, and Jonathan and Joyce walk outside. Steve and Nancy go out and look through a pile of junk, but I see that they are having a deep conversation. Mike and El go outside before she leaves, and I see that they are having a personal moment too.
After they are all done with their talks El gets in the truck with Hopper, and Nancy and Jonathan take Will to a spot where they will be able to get the monster out of him. Steve, Max, Lucas, Dustin, and I stand on the porch and watch them drive off.
___
Dustin takes everything out of Joyce's fridge, and Steve grabs the Demogorgon.
"All right. It should fit now," Dustin says.
"Is this really necessary?" Steve pants.
"Yes, it is okay? This is obviously a ground-breaking scientific discovery. We can't just bury it like some common mammal, okay? It's not a dog."
"All right, all right, all right."
Steve walks over to the fridge and stops before he puts it in.
"You're explaining this to Mrs.Byers, all right?" Steve says.
