My alarm goes off, and I find myself getting ready with a smile on my face. I am the happiest I've been since...forever.

I put on dark grey jeans, an AC/DC shirt, and Doc Martins. I grab my skateboard and walkman and call for Mateo. He holds his bagel and eats it on the way to his bus stop.

"Remember Mateo," I start.

"Don't let the bullies get to you. I got it," he replies.

I've been telling him that every day. He says they don't bother him anymore, but I tell him anyway, to be sure. The bus pulls up, and I wave goodbye as I head to school.

As I skate into the parking lot I feel butterflies in my stomach. The familiar smile I wore this morning creeps onto my face again, and I skate up to Robin.

"Woah," she says.

"What?" I ask.

"Why are you smiling?" she questions.

"What do you mean?" I reply with a laugh.

"This is so weird right now. Every time you come to school I'm always the one that has to make you smile. Y'know, 'cause you're never in a good mood in the morning," she informs.

"Oh, quit exaggerating. I'm always happy it's just in the mornings I'm tired," I try to excuse.

"Nope. You are definitely angry at the fact that you woke up," she utters.

I look at my feet. I know she's right. I never really thought a kiss with Billy would affect me very much.

"Spill it," she demands.

"Well, it's just that I got a lot of progress done on the project last night," I reply.

She raises her eyebrow in confusion. We both turn around as we hear the familiar Camero engine pull into the parking lot.

"Oh my god," she gasps.

"What?" I ask.

"You kissed him?" she whispers.

"Uh, I gotta go," I reply.

I begin to walk away when she pulls my shoulder back.

"Y/N, that's like really bad," she says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Well, it's just...he's...Billy," she mumbles.

I nod my head and look down at my feet again. Maybe he isn't a good idea. I hear Robin sigh.

"Has he been good to you?" she asks.

"He's helped me with one of my problems. Y'know, about my brother," I whisper.

"You told him about Mason?" she questions. "You trust him that much?"

"Yeah. There are some things I've helped him with too," I state.

"What did he say to you about Mason?" she asks.

"I've always blamed myself. I've told you that. He told me that it wasn't my fault, and then he cheered me up," I say.

"Oh my god! You had se-" she starts.

"God Robin, No! He made me laugh," I say in disbelief.

"Oh!" she laughs.

I shake my head, and I realize I'm smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. Robin looks at me and rolls her eyes, along with a sigh.

"I suppose, if he has made you happy, then he's fine by me," she starts.
