Today is the last day of Billy and I's junior year. Everyone is exchanging numbers, signing yearbooks, hugging, crying, and whatever the hell else.I've never understood why people cry when they're coming back next year with the same exact people. I understand if they're seniors, but if not...
I feel an arm wrap around my waist, but I don't need to look to know who it is.
"Hi," I smile.
"Hi," Billy replies.
I lay my head on his shoulder and I put my skateboard in my locker.
"You rode your skateboard here?" Billy asks.
"Yeah, just for old times sake," I laugh.
He chuckles, and we walk to our last class together of junior year. We take our seats next to each other and wait for the teacher to start talking.
"Okay class! I hope you've had a good year, and I had a wonderful time teaching you this year. You'll be graduating next year, so don't forget to stop by on the last day next year," Mr.Brown says.
Mr.Brown spends the rest of the day talking with us, asking how we felt our year went, and if anything eventful happened, what it was, etc.
The bell rings and Billy and I walk out together.
"Well, we're officially on summer break," I sign.
"Yep," he responds.
I grab my skateboard from my locker and see Robin.
"Robin!" I call out.
She smiles and runs over to me. Today is her graduation and I smile to see her wearing her graduation gown on.
"Congrats!" I smile.
"Thank god this year is over," she laughs.
"Agreed," I chuckle.
"We should hang later!" She says.
"Alright, come over later," I reply.
She nods, and I realize Billy left my side to go see his friends. I roll my eyes as I see Tommy. Steve hates him even though he was friends with him at one point. Unfortunately, Steve is also a senior this year, so today is his graduation too.
I walk out with Robin and I see Steve with his graduation gown on.
"Steve!" I call out.
I run to him and hug him tightly.
"Congrats!" I say.
"Thanks," he replies.
He doesn't seem too cheery, but I know he's somewhat happy, nonetheless.
"Are you guys doing anything later?" he asks.
"Y/N and I were going to hang out, but you should come too," Robin says.
"Alright, I'll be there," he replies.
"Sounds good," I smile.
I sigh and hold up my skateboard to signal I'm leaving.
"I'll see you all later," I say.
They nod and I give them a high five. I throw my skateboard down and head home.
___
I get home, and see Billy walking over to my house.
"You and I are going to a part tonight," he says.
"Correction, you are going to a party tonight," I smile.
"Come on, it'll be fun," he smiles.
"No it won't. Plus, I'm hanging out with Robin and Steve tonight," I say.
