"Alam mo ba when I first saw you walking in the hallway, I thought you're masungit and unapproachable. You always have the straight face in you kase" Alexander said,

"I've been told that I tend to look unapproachable because of how my eyes look. But when you get to know me, you'll see how caring and affectionate I actually am." I answered.

He gently caressed my hair. "There was this one time when we made a bet, we asked Darrion to approach you and we'll see if you're masungit talaga. Pero hindi pa nakaka lapit si Darrion ay bumalik agad ito dahil takot daw sya"

My eyes widened "Really? OMG! I didn't know that. Do I look mataray ba talaga?"

He chuckled. "Yes, but when we met you, hindi pala. You're so kind and thoughtful"

I wanted to say the same thing, akala din naman namin ni Ansella ay masusungit sila kaya we never had the chance to be friends with them, and we ever even imagine. But look at us now, halos araw araw na kaming magkakasama.

"Sabi nga nila first impression last?"

I smiled. "Yup."

Nasa field kami ni Alexander ngayon, may mga pasok pa kasi ang iba. Si Liam naman ay inutusan ni Mr. Madrigal, kaya kaming dalawa lang ang magkasama. Uuwi na nga sana ako kaso ay nakita ko si Alexander na nakaupo mag isa dito.

"Brielle"

I look at Alexander. "Why?"

"I heard Laura was expelled and Liam was the reason behind it."

"Totoo ba? Na you heard Liam saying that he helped Laura cheat?"

I really don't wanna talk about this issue, ilang linggo na din ang lumipas and everyone was really quiet about it.

"I did" I can't lie in front of him. I don't have the guts.

"Liam didn't actually help her. He ignored Laura when he saw that she's trying to steal the answer key, but of course he's basically helping her out na din kahit saan mo tignan. He should have stop her in the first place."

"Why did you lie? When they asked you"

I sigh and shrug my shoulders. "I don't like meddling with other people's business, but I ended up getting tangled with it and you know what sucks? I got blamed and dad hurt me"

He takes a deep breath and looks around the field. "Liam was always like that. You think he doesn't really care? Nah. Sinadya nya iyon. I know him. When something or someone irritates him, he'll do anything for that specific person to disappear"

I knew that, but I acted like I didn't. I was too blind because I like him.

But spending time with him made me realize a lot of things about him.

"Maybe you should look what inside him, then you'll be able to understand Liam" I answered.

"I heard my name, what are you two talking about?"

We looked back and saw Liam behind us, handling an ice coffee. Binigyan niya kami ng tig isa.

"Here's your coffee"

Umupo ito sa tabi ko. Kinikilig pa din ako sa tuwing nasa tabi ko si Liam, pinipigilan ko lang dahil ayoko na mahalata nila na gusto ko siya. I like how we are now.

"It's a secret" nakakatawang sagot ni Alexander.

"Are you backstabbing me, Mondragon?"

I rolled my eyes and slapped his back lightly. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me Mondragon?"

"And what do you want me to call you?" He asked while raising his eyebrow.

"She's right, Sebastian. You should call her by her name"

"I don't want to" parang batang sagot niya.

He's the only one calling me by my surname. It's kinda cute.

"May sundo ka ba?" Sabay nilang tanong saakin.

Someone might actually think they are fighting over me. Wow. Ang kapal ng mukha mo Brielle.

"I'll drop you off" Kinuha ni Liam ang bag ko.

"Silly" natatawang sambit ni Alexander.

"Take care. See you tomorrow" Nakakahawa ang ngiti ni Alexander, sobrang genuine.

"Ingat ka"

He nodded his head.

Hinabol ko si Liam na sobrang bilis maglakad dahil sa haba ng kanyang mga binti.

"Wait for me"

Muntik na akong matumba dahil sa pagbato nito ng aking bag.

"You're so mean," I whisper.

"May sinasabi ka?" Taas kilay nitong tanong.

Ngumiti ako "Wala"

I'm content just looking at him like this. I got to spend a lot of time with him and he even offered to drop me off. This is all I need.

I can't ask for more.

Akala ko ay ihahatid niya ako pauwi, nagulat ako dahil dumeretso kami sa isang flower shop.

"Today is my mommy's birthday. I'll pick some flowers for her" he said.

Sobrang sweet ni Liam pagdating sa mommy at kapatid niya. Sobrang layo kung paano siya kapag nasa loob ng room. Tahimik at walang pakialam sa mundo.

"What do you think?" Itinaas niya ang kulay yellow na tulips.

Kinuha ko ang puting carnation "I think this one is better. White carnation represent pure and unconditional love for your mom"

"You know a lot about flowers huh" He said.

I just smiled. Mommy has a flower garden sa bahay and she likes collecting different types of flowers. I really admired her for that.

"Wait for me in the car. I'll just pay for it"

Hindi naman nagtagal si Liam, pagpasok ko sa sasakyan halos mga sampung minuto lang ay dumating na siya na may bitbit na bulaklak. Inilagay niya iyon sa upuan.

"You must really love your mom"

"Who wouldn't?" Sagot nito.

I didn't say anything. I just smiled and looked at the window. I really admired Liam for looking out to his mother and sister.

"Would you like me to drop you in front of your house?"

Umiling ako. "No, dun na lang ulit sa harapan ng village"

The security will not let him enter the village.

Hindi ko nga pala maiwasan na hindi mapangiti. Dahil patagal ng patagal ay pahaba ng pahaba ang mga binibitawang salita ni Liam. He's getting comfortable and so I am.

"Diyan nalang sa tabi"

Pagbaba ko, nagulat ako dahil bumaba din si Liam at binuksan ang pinto sa passenger sit. Bitbit nya ang isang bulaklak na naka lagay pa sa paso.

"For you"

I was speechless.

It's a honeysuckle.

Did he just give me flowers?

Hindi pa ako naka bawi sa gulat ko ay umalis na si Liam sa harapan ko at pinaharurot palayo ang sasakyan nya. I didn't even get to say thank you.

Honeysuckles means everlasting love.
