Chapter 29

"I'm so sorry Alexander. I had enough of her. I just—"

He cut me off, grabbed my hand and gave me a warm hug. 

"It's okay, Brielle. You really need to get it out of your chest."

Buti na lang ay hinatak ni Liam palabas si Ciella, kung hindi ay nagpang abot na kami ng kamay sa loob kanina. I tried so bad to calm myself pero hindi ko kinaya ang kabastusan ng ugali ni Ciella.

Nagkamali ako ng pagkakakilala sa kanya.

"If it hurts you, it hurts you. Wala kang kailangan i explain. Your feelings are valid, Brielle. People should stop calling someone OA and sensitive for not tolerating disrespect."

Ewan ko ba. Alexander had this thing about him that makes me calm.

"Brielle"

"Yes kuya?"

Ibinaba ko ang hawak kong baso at humarap kay Kuya Hezekiah.

"How's your back?"

"Okay naman po. Hindi na ganun kasakit tulad ng dati."

"You should avoid getting stressed. It triggers your back pain"

Na stress lang naman ako since I saw Liam. But not now, I'm really fine, kahit makita ko siya out of nowhere. 

"Yes kuya. Thanks for worrying!" 

He gently tapped my head. "I can't believe you're this big na. I think I need to get married because I'm getting old"

I chuckled. I heard he has a girlfriend, but I don't have the guts to ask him. It's his personal life.

"Yes please! I want some niece" pagbibiro ko.

"Maybe next year?" 

We both chuckled. I couldn't really ask for more. I'm really glad that my family is okay now. Dad is not forcing me to do things against my will. 

"Is that you, Brielle?" I looked back and I saw a familiar face. I tried so hard to think about who she was. 

"Laura," She said. 

Yup! It was her!

"Hey" I don't even know how to approach her because we didn't have a good relationship between us.

"Is this where you work?" She asked.

I gently nodded my head, then she smiled.

"I'm having an interview here today."

"Really? Goodluck" I said softly.

"I'm sorry about what happened that time, Brielle. I know it's my fault and I'm sorry for dragging you into our mess"

She must have had a hard time processing what happened when she got kicked out of the school. That's all she had that time and it was taken away from her. 

Though it was her fault. Nakakapanghinayang pa din.

"I'm really sorry" 

She held my hand. "No, it's okay."

Dahil mamayang afternoon pa daw ang interview ni Laura, niyaya ko siyang kumain sa labas. Sa harap lang naman ng company.

"How's Liam?" She asked.

"I heard he's getting married"

Mabilis talaga ang balita. Alam na din siguro halos ng mga naging kaklase namin noon na ikakasal na si Liam.
