Chapter 43

I was staring at the ceiling when I received a call from Kuya Hezekiah.

"Are you okay?" That was the first thing he asked pagsagot ko ng tawag niya.

Am I really okay?

I suddenly felt my world crumble with just a blink of an eye.

"I don't know, Kuya"

I heard him take a deep breath. "Do you want me to take action about this issue?"

"No need to do that, Kuya. Thank you for worrying about me, I really appreciate it a lot but I'm okay"

"Okay, tell me if you need something okay?"

"I will. Thank you Kuya Hezekiah. I'll be forever grateful"

It's been a week since Alexander and I talked. He didn't text or called me. He's probably really mad. 

Dahil kahit saan mo tignan mali ako, mali kami ni Liam kahit magkaibigan kami.

I want to call him but I don't have the nerve to do that. I'm really so ashamed after hearing what he really felt about me. 

Tama sya. It was easy for me to say how much I love him but so hard to show it. 

It was all my fault.

Should I call him?

Or no?

"Argh."

Muntik na akong tumalon na aking pag kakahiga when my phone suddenly rang and it's Ciella.

Why would she call me?

"Hello"

I clear the lump on my throat.

"Hi. Napatawag ka?"

"I'm pregnant, Brielle"

Hindi ko alam kung bakit bigla nalang bumilis ang tibok ng aking puso at para akong binuhusan ng malamig na tubig.

"Really? OMG! Congratulations!" 

"Liam didn't register our marriage, Brielle and he doesn't want to continue this pregnancy"

I was silent for a moment. I don't know what to say. I was really shocked. 

"Can you talk to him about it? He's really having a hard time accepting the fact that I am his wife and this child needs him"

"I don't think he'll listen to me, Ciella. You need to talk to his parents"

"I can't do that. He'll hate me, for sure. You're the only one who can talk to him"

"I'll try"

Lumabas ako kinagabihan dahil bigla nalang nagyaya kumain sa labas si Darrion at Phoenix. Nagulat nga ako dahil pagdating ko sa Resto kung saan kami magkikita, nandon din si Alexander. I'm not yet ready to see him. 

"Hi!" Nakangiting sambit sa akin ni Darrion at pinanghatak ako ng upuan sa tabi niya. Nasa harapan ko si Alexander ngayon at hindi niya ako tinapunan ng tingin. Hindi ko din alam kung paano ko siya kakausapin. 

"Si Ansella?" Tanong ko kay Phoenix.

"Dumating na. Nasa comfort pa siya" 

Tumango nalang ako bilang sagot at tumingin tingin sa paligid. Akala ko kaming apat lang ng kakain. Hindi ko akalain na nandito din si Alexander.
