Chapter 28

"Glad I got to spend this day with you, Brielle"

I smiled and took a sip of my coffee. We're here in Cielo Alto in tanay. I saw this when I'm scrolling through my social media and I'm telling you, this place will definitely restore your mental health.

We're on the top and we can clearly see the mountain, green trees and the blue sky. I felt like I'm on the top of the world. 

There's also a cabin and it's good for 2 people. Hindi na kami kumuha ng dalawang room ni Alexander. I don't feel uncomfortable around him naman.

"It's so peaceful," he whispered.

He closed his eyes and felt the cold breeze touching his face. Napaka gwapo ni Alexander. Kahit saang anggulo ko sya tignan. 

"Hindi ka pa ba gutom?" 

Umiling ito. Hindi pa siya kumakain mag mula kanina. Coffee lang ang laman ng tiyan niya.

"Alexander" He opened his eyes and pinched my cheeks.

"Siguro gutom ka na?" Panunukso nito.

I pout my lips. "I'm just worried about you, wala pang laman ang tiyan mo"

"Okay let's eat" We bought a pizza, burger, coke and nuggets. Alexander all time favorite.

Uuwi din kasi kami bukas ng maaga dahil may gagawin pa pala si Alexander. Sobrang nahihiya nga siya saakin dahil ang usapan namin ay tatlong araw, dalawang gabi kami dito. Sabi ko naman sa kanya ay okay lang.

"Try this" Turo nito sa pizza shawarma na binili niya.

"You should eat a lot of healthy foods, you know?" 

He chuckled. I knew it, kaya nagdala ako ng vegetable salad.

"Here" Inabot ko sa kanya ang lunch box na may laman na vegetables salad. 

"Ready ka ah?" Natatawa ng sambit niya.

"Anong akala mo? Ikaw lang? Syempre ako din." 

"Ang sarap" 

I pout my lips. "Gulay lang naman yan, I didn't even cook it. Pinagsama sama lang"

I really appreciate yung mga taong nakaka appreciate ng mga maliliit na bagay na ginagawa mo para sa kanila. Sabi nga nila small things matter.

"Brielle"

"Hm?" 

"If I had to choose one person to give all my love to, I wouldn't even need to think twice. It would always be you"

I can't help but to smile. I really admired how vocal Alexander can be about his feelings toward me. I'm really grateful for his existence. 

"Should we really date? For real?" I asked but he just smiled.

 "I'll just date you when you're no longer in love with Liam"

I held his hand. "I know you wouldn't believe me when I say, I don't like him anymore, but that's the truth. Leaving him 3 years ago, I know wala na akong babalikan pagbalik ko. What we had was  almost"

I sigh and smiled "We almost made it"

Hearing Liam saying the other day that he still loves me slap me back into reality. Whatever we had in the past cannot bring in the future. He's getting married and I don't want to ruin it. 

Besides I want to reciprocate the love that Alexander kept pouring. He deserves that much.

"I don't want to force you,"

"You're not forcing me, Alexander. I promise."

He gently held my hand and kissed the back of my hand. "I love you, Brielle."
