And one of the best co-workers to have is:

"Keep your block up! Keep it up" the guy said, at the same time he swung his fist to her face

"Keep your block up! Keep it up" the guy said, at the same time he swung his fist to her face.

That would be so easy if he wasn't practically punching her only in the face.

Thinking quickly Ellie abandoned the guard to her face and ducked to swing her foot under him. She noticed that every time he punches he makes his left foot vulnerable, so she aimed for that.

The sudden move made him fall to his knees, but she didn't waste time cheering that she got him down. She sent her cloth-covered hands to his face and try to mount him, but he was quick to evade her punches. He actually made her punch the ground beside his head when he turned his head and pushed her hand while it was in movement.

He quickly turned to his side and send a kick to her side, causing her to slide a bit from him. She quickly scatter to her feet, but he kneed her to the stomach.

"Stay down"

Hell no, I won't. She thought.

She turned on her back from the kick and waited for him to kick her or mount her and when he chose to go with the former, she quickly grabbed hold of his foot and with her own feet kicked his other foot.

This move was dangerous and illegal and she knew it the moment she heard him groan and a cracking sound.

She quickly let go and he dropped oddly trying to hold his foot.

"I'm so sorry." she apologized, trying to go closer to him, but he shook his head and waved her off.

"It's okay. Your brother did say never to train more than 8 rounds with you. You get real violent" Evan joked as he let out a strained breath. He was happy that she didn't break his leg. It was painful, but it wasn't broken.

"Really, what else did he say about me?" she rolled her eyes as she stretch her hand out to him. His dark brown eyes looked at it for a moment, a permanent sly smile on his face before he took it gathered to his feet.

"Nothing, other than to keep an eye on you"

Ellie gave him an accused stare, "I don't believe shit. "

Evan's thick brows pushed together as his face contorted into joy as he laughed. His tall frame walked over to his bottle, "And, you'll be smart not to. But, what's going on? Why the sudden training session?" he asked, dark eyes watching as she put her shirt over her sports bra.

Ellie was known to run hot very quickly. It could be 60 degrees Fahrenheit outside and she would still feel warm. Working out was always a sweaty mess for her, so it wasn't a surprise she was dripping sweat after that 3 hours of training.

She honestly didn't know how girls can take photos of themselves in the gym because she was always disgusting.

"I just wanted to see if I still got it" Ellie answered Evan's question, her brown orbs meeting his dark ones above her water bottle.
