Ellie had gone through a variety of emotions over the few days. Some emotions she didn't even know she had. She was sure Evelyn would be darn happy with her.

She personally felt growth somewhere under all of this bullshit.

It has now been a full week of her staying at the condo and she was finally feeling more like herself. Maybe because of Kruz's harsh words for her to actually shower and look presentable, she didn't know.

All she knew was that on Day Four, Anna had texted her wanting to know where she was and then later informed her of the incident that happened between Kian and Faith.

The news literally stunned Ellie for a moment. She was frozen in the kitchen reading the text message repeatedly before she finally rest her phone down.

She wanted to break it, but she couldn't because she had no way of getting a new one and she was not asking Kian for shit.

A part of her mind told her to not think that way. To not think that Kian was messing with his assistant even when she had asked him if he was messing with someone, but she couldn't knock the insecure thoughts that were plaguing her.

The vile thoughts that she was cheated on once again.

Anna stated that Faith and Kian may have messed around way before Ellie stepped into the picture, but she was selfishly not trying to hear it.

She was hoping that this would be the final nail in the coffin for her to bury this relationship, but a small voice in the back of her head laughed at the audacity for her to think that way.

On the sixth day which was yesterday was when Ellie finally faced all of what she was trying to run from.

Although she had tried to fight it. She even wrote down the pros and cons of it, Ellie couldn't neglect the fact that she was indeed in love with a man that was in the mafia.

She didn't want to live her life wondering what if she was to choose logic over her actual heart.

Her heart had craved Kian from the moment it fell from him and she wasn't going to deprive herself of it any longer.

Ellie concluded, sadly may she add, that she might have lost her sisters and wasn't sure how she would ever get them back, but she wouldn't stop trying.

She just knew that she was tired of sitting here wallowing in what had happened. She couldn't change it, so it didn't make any sense for her to spend any more time obsessing over it.

She was now ready to move forward and do whatever she wanted and needed in the only life she had.

Today, Ellie woke up much earlier than she normally would and made herself breakfast. She took a shower, one she needed, and even styled her braids.

She wasn't sure if Kruz was coming to check up on her like he normally did, so she set up her canvas and begin to draw.

Ellie was deep into shading his eyes when there was a knock on the door. She ignored the flutter that floated through her chest.

She knew it wouldn't be Kian on the other side, but she always had this boatload of hope that it was. She was disappointed every time.

"Hey" she greeted dryly and turned to walk back into the condo after opening the door. Kruz frowned.

"Damn, I got better greetings than that from dead people," he said as he walked to the kitchen and open a cabinet. "You look... like you finally showered." He glanced at her with a quirked brow, before pulling a glass out and walking over to the fridge.
