This was the moment of change.
The moment when everything Kian thought he knew he didn't actually know.
The moment when his outlook on life has completely and totally changed.
Just a week ago, he was happy. Actually happy.
He had a woman who really wanted to be with him and cared for him. They had great sex and he thought he was finally experiencing this thing called love.
There were moments he felt like he didn't deserve it and now he realized those moments were reality settling in.
It was a painful, a very painful realization.
Of course, he wouldn't be gifted real love.
He was a murderer and one that actually loved killing people. He loves what he does. He was the grim reaper that walked along with the shadow and his favorite time of the day was when it wasn't daytime at all.
He roamed on demon time, always.
There's no way fate would have given him a woman like Ellie for real.
She was too out of this world for him. He should have known.
Of course, she would be his downfall.
Of course, she would be the reason his dark kingdom would crumble.
Kian has never felt so much utter despair as he sat in his destroyed room.
Why?
Because it was the main room in the apartment that smelled just like her.
Why did she have to do this?
Kian knew the reason why and he hated it even more.
Kassie had told him the full story and as much as he didn't want to agree on the cause, he could understand why.
Apparently, he and Ellie had no chance from the beginning. It was all a freaking twisted ploy from fate to see how far it can f**k him over.
He thought that finding out his dad killed Ellie's birth parents would have ended them, but when it didn't he thought that they would be able to fight against anything.
But, then his mother told him more of what happened.
Kian hated how Kassie had kept this from him. She stated that she was scared of telling him because she didn't want to ruin another thing in his life, but it did.
Kassie cried through the entire story. Kian could see the hopelessness in her eyes, but there was nothing he can really do about it. He knew he should grow up and forgive her, but after learning what she told him, he needed even more time.

Flashback
Kian span around to Kassie, her eyes widening as she stepped back. He kept walking until he was in front of her.
"What are you talking about?"
Kassie shook her head, "I was going to tell you, but I didn't want to ruin anything else between us. I can see how you love her and I just didn't want to"
"What do you know?" Kian interjected, losing patience.
Kassie's wide dark eyes looked at him before she looked over to her other sons who stood there with worried gazes.
"Speak!" Kian snapped and Kam stepped forward.
"Easy"
Kian looked at him and then at his mother who was now extremely close to him. Or, was he extremely close to her? She looked taken back at his proximity and Kian hated that she was looking at him that way.
