Jiya had halted her tongue as per Jimin's request and had left the few seconds that ticked to sink her further in guilt but as he brought his gaze on her, she couldn't help but take a step closer to him as her hand reluctantly reached out and took hold of the fabric of his shirt.
"I know what I did was not right. My intentions weren't bad and I was a bit too desperate but I have regretted it. I have really fallen in love with him Jimin. I swear in all I have...please...please promise me you won't let him know." Her beg rolled out her lips like a yelp for help as her grip on him grew tighter, letting him become aware that she was desperate.
Her eyes let him know that she was hanging by a threat and her heart was in the grip of fear. A fear that had made her take decisions and do actions that she had never thought herself capable of till that moment.
When she had received that blackmail, she had felt like the world had caged in on her and all she had in life that made her happy was about to be swiped away from her. Certainly keeping secrets was not something she had ever intended to do, but she had never found the courage to speak the truth to Jin in case that he might misunderstand her or even worse, not believe her at all. Jimin was famous and popular, he was someone many were interested in and Jin himself had had people around him that had tried being friendly with him just to have a chance to meet the big star that his cousin was.
Jiya was aware of how that had made Jin feel and how he really disliked such people, how could she find the strength to tell him that she was like those people? Even if that wasn't the case anymore, she couldn't help but fear that he will hate her, dislike her or even be disappointed in her. He could leave her for once the trust is broken there's nothing left and she sure had lied to him, had used him. She had done things that could give him every right to walk away yet she felt like her heart would break in two just at the thought of it.
She couldn't turn back time, she couldn't change the truth. She couldn't undo the fact that she had been just a crazy stupid fangirl running after someone she thought she loved only to truly fall in love with someone else after a while. She had gotten what she had wanted, she had gotten to know Jimin, be around him, yet every day she had found herself falling in love with Jin more and more and forgetting all about the one she had done such an effort to get closer to.
Maybe it was a game fate played on her or it was just how things were meant to be for her, and partially she was thankful for she still had gotten to know the one she considered the love of her life. The one she wanted to have by her side for the rest of her life. The one she had been loyal to from the moment she had understood her feelings for him. She loved him, she loved him enough to step on her professional oath, enough to go against Jimin whom she had become friends with and cared about. Enough to risk her image and the entire friendship she had with the actor, for as long as it meant that she could keep Jin from knowing. She could prevent his heart from aching.
"You do know that I don't keep secrets from him, do you?" Jimin couldn't help but be honest with her for, despite the fact that at that very instant he was feeling sorry for her, he couldn't bring himself to go along with her request.
If he was to keep something like this from Jin, he felt as if he was betraying him in a way. He was feeling as if he was doing him wrong even though he too was scared and worried about Jin's feelings. Yet he had given him his word that he would never lie to him. That he would always be transparent. He had promised himself to never break his trust. How was he supposed to pretend to be ignorant now?
"You don't have to say it." After seeing how tears rolled down her cheeks while she heard Jimin's reply, you couldn't help but interfere, making them all turn to look your way.
"Take it from me. There's no secret that stays hidden forever. He will find out at some point...and you know, maybe you should tell him yourself rather than Jimin or anyone else does it." She let go of his shirt as you ended your sentence and turned around to hide the tears that started flowing uncontrollably, her soft sobs echoing in the atmosphere as silence had fallen until Jimin took a deep breath and approached her, gently placing his hands over her shoulders and turning her around to face him.
