Vieve and James entered the elevator and headed towards where the team would be so that way James could go see what experiment Tony had to do on him today. He was grateful that Tony was willing to help him out with figuring out his mind and his robotic arm, but some of the procedures he did were kind of brutal and made James feel extremely uncomfortable. He just hoped today wouldn't be one of those days. He really just wanted to make sure that Vieve was comfortable with the crew and everything, but he wanted to be the one who introduced her to the team and not have her have to meet them by herself.

Vieve could tell that James was upset, and she understood why. He had to work with Tony today and anyone who had to work with him needs emotional compensation because he is just an awful person. She was extremely nervous to go and meet the team without James by her side. Her head was filled with anxiety and making her sick to her stomach. She was worried about what they would think about her, would they think she was nice or would they hate her for being a normal person in the tower. Her thoughts also went to Tony. What had he told the team? Did he tell them his side of the story making her sound like the asshole in the situation, or did he tell them how they should not trust her? All of these thoughts were making her head spin and her breathing stop. She let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding and James noticed.

He looked down at her to see her chest rising and falling rapidly indicating nerves. He didn't want her to be nervous, but he understood why she was nervous. He just wanted to make her comfortable but because he had to go see Tony he wasn't able to do that. So he did what he could for the time being. He reached down and took her hand into his. Her delicate soft skin was such a contrast to his rough and calloused skin. When he took her hand she looked up at him and felt a sense of calm wash over her. She liked how he had that effect on her, being able to calm her with just a look.

"It will be okay G, they will love you. How could they not?" James said rubbing circles on her hand with his thumb, something his mother would do when he was nervous as a young boy.

"I really hope you're right James. At least Steve will be there if they don't" she said with a slight frown and turned her head back to the ground.

He hated seeing her messing with her own head. It broke him more than he would like to admit, even to himself. He was just about to say something back to her when the elevator doors opened.

The doors opened to the common floor where most of the members of the team were. Vieve was immediately met with stares coming at her from all directions. She recognized everyone. Nat, the fiery redhead was the one giving her the biggest stare, however. Nat made her way to the elevator and Vieve's breath hitched. She wasn't going to lie to herself; she was scared of the former assassin. Nat finally reached the lift and still had the stone-cold stare. She was Looking Genevieve up and down and Vieve felt the harsh judgment and it made her want to climb into a hole. James knew that this was Nat's way of testing Vieve to see if she was able to hang with the group, but he wasn't sure how Vieve would react to it.

Nat just stared at Vieve making her more and more uncomfortable. Vieve racked her brain with what to do and then an idea came to her. She decided to lose the fearful look she had on her face and put on her stone-cold look and met Nat's fire-fueled gaze. Nat took this to surprise. She had never had anyone in the tower challenge her look, so the fact that this random girl had the balls to stand up not only to her but to Steve and Tony also, Nat could tell that they were going to be great friends.

The redhead cracked a smile and that caused Vieve's stone-cold stare to waver. But her stare soon turned to a shocked expression when Nat pulled her into a hug. To say Vieve was shocked would be an understatement. Nay had literally scared the life out of her that when the hug was finished she let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding.

"I like this one James, you better keep her" Natbsaid to James and turned on her heel to return to her show. The comment made James' face go bright red not because he was embarrassed of Vieve, but because she now knew that he talked about her to the entire tower. How could he not. She was the most amazing person he had met in his entire prolonged life.

Along with Nat's little comment, Vieve looked over at James and noticed how bright his face was. She blushed and looked down not wanting him to see her like that.

"Yeah Nat, I'll try. But, um, Tony  wants me to meet him up at the lab so I was wondering if you guys would keep G company while I'm gone?" He asked while awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.

"Yeah of course!" Nay responded gleefully "Please tell me you like watching Law and order?!" Nay questioned her and waited inpatiently for her answer.

"Are you kidding me?! It's my favorite show" Vieve responded with the same energy and left James' side.

"You know, I think she's gonna fit right in with our little group" Steve said, walking over to Bucky and patting his shoulder to relive some of his stress. "Do you know what Tony has planned for you today?"

"I wish I knew. I'm just hoping it's not too much. I really want to show G this place, she's gonna love it" he said with a little half smile appearing on his face as he spoke that last part.

"If it is too much, you know that she will understand. Maybe you guys could just watch a movie if so" Steve said, trying to reassure him. "Hey if it helps I could ask him to take it easy on you?"

"No, because then he's just going to push me in training tomorrow, either way I'm not going to enjoy spending time with him." He said while rolling his eyes and making his way back to the elevator. "Oh, and another thing, didn't let anyone tell G what Tony said about her the first time they met. I don't think she can handle that" he said finally getting into the lift and going to meet Tony.

Steve knew that was going to be a challenge, but he made his way over to the crew to try his absolute best to help his best friend out.

Hi y'all
Sorry it took me five ever to get this part out. I originally had it typed out, but I hated it when i retreaded it. Then as I went to go and rewrite it I moved to a new place. My new place didn't have wifi for like 3 weeks so I had no possible way of uploading. Then as soon as we did get wifi I found out that my great grandma had passed. This was heart wrenching. So I was in no place to write. Her funeral was on Friday and it was peaceful.

Anyway just wanted you guys to know that I'm going to be posting every Sunday from now on because those are the days that I have off of work and school!

Thanks for all the continued support and patience

xx- pag :)
