Tony had no clue where to start to find this girl, but he knew he could ask Bucky or Nat, he just didn't want to. He wanted to find this girl on his own because he needed to apologize to her, and he wanted her to know that he did this on his own. He went up to his lab and started his research on this girl and actually took his time to look into everything, not just looking for things that would feed his inaccurate opinion. He looked at everything, her birth date, where she was born, who her parents were, why she moved to New York, what she was studying in school, the whole nine yards. He did his own FBI investigation of her.
What he found made him so mad at himself. She had such a tough life and he made it only tougher. She grew up in the lower middle class and her parents struggled to keep the house payment up and keep her school fees, as well as her brothers, they also struggled to keep food on the table. Her mom was a nurse and her dad was a high school history teacher. They were high school sweethearts and even went to the same college where they both graduated with their bachelor degrees.
Her brother graduated at the top of his class and with high honors. While he was at university he met his wife and they fell instantly for each other and were married after only a year of dating. They had a hard time paying for the wedding and for both of their schooling, but they were happy and that was all that mattered to them. After his graduation he got an amazing job offer at a local law firm and he quickly became one of the most desirable lawyers and was soon sought after by all of the major law firms across the country. He was offered a job by one of the biggest social justice firms in New York. When he told Genevieve that she had started to apply to school's there.
She waited for what felt like years for an acceptance letter, but in reality she only waited three months before she got the letter. She was ecstatic when she opened the letter to find that she was accepted to New York school of Design and was able to get one of the highest scholarships available and have all of her schooling paid for. She didn't tell her brother right away however because she wanted to surprise him. So she sold the lease to her old place and packed all of her things and hopped on to the next flight to JFK International Airport. She stayed in a hotel for a week while she was apartment hunting and she was able to get one in her budget within that time frame.
She and her brother and sister-in-law all spent a lot of time together as Tony gathered from some Instagram posts that both Genevieve and Dianna posted. They had a lot of picnics in the park, but things were hard for all of them to get together often because of how far away their apartments were from each other. That's why Harrison and Dianna were in that apartment building the day of the attack.
Tony felt a tear starting to steam down his face. This girl that he was rude to did not deserve it one bit. She was a fighter and a good one at that. She had been through so much and he was being a dick to her since the moment he literally came crashing into her life.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y. have someone get me a car ready and tell the Manchurian Candidate to get ready for a visitor." he said walking out of the office and heading down toward the parking garage.

Vieve just kept walking not really knowing where she was going, just letting her mind wander and letting her feet take her wherever they pleased. She was just wanting to let herself think of how she let all of her walls down that she had built too high. How she just let this one random stranger in the rain change her whole life and break down those walls. Her feet were carrying her to the only place that she knew, the memorial. She knew that she would find comfort there, she knew that she could take a seat on a bench to let her feet and her mind rest.
She sat down on the bench nearest to her brother's memorial post. She was exhausted and needed to rest but she knew they would all come looking for her at her place since they all knew where she lived and worked so she went for the next best solution. There were other people there and more and more people showing up. She was just gazing across the memorial and her gaze not fixated on anything, just letting her mind wander and wander. The people who were walking in front of her were just passing blurs and nothing more. She was so out of it that she didn't notice Tony's car pulling up and him stepping out in a panic looking for her.
This was his first time being to the memorial and he was lost. He had no clue where he was going, just what he was looking for. He was looking for the girl who had given no chance to. He was looking for someone who he really needed to apologize to. He stopped dead in his tracks and scanned the entire place and stopped when his eyes landed on the blonde girl who was staring right past him in a gross dead gaze. He could tell there was only thinking going on in her mind and he knew it wasn't good by the way there was a glaze of glass across her eyes. He made his way to her and hoped that she would at least listen to what he had to say.
"Genevieve?" his voice came out with a slight rasp to it.
Her face didn't change one bit. He said her name again but still nothing. There was a spot next to her on the bench she was sitting on and so Tony just took a seat. This finally caused a reaction out of her and she turned her head to face him. Tony didn't notice though, his head was in his hands resting on his knees. Genevieve saw his body language and knew that there was no malice or hatred with him today. She sniffled, causing Tony to jump a bit not expecting the sound from her, but when he heard it he lost all other sound around him. He could no longer hear the hustle and bustle of busy New York, or the sound of the fountain that was somewhere in the memorial, all he could hear was his breath and hers. He looked up meeting her eyes and his immediately went glassy knowing that this could either hurt her more or could be the start of a new friendship.
