An unexpected love || Ant x Stephen

Jealousy - Chapter Twenty-Eight

Today was a Monday, which meant it was pub night for Ant and Dec, and this time, Ant and Dec had decided to invite Stephen to come with them tonight. Stephen obviously agreed, he will take any opportunity to spend more time with Ant, considering they spend almost 24/7 together already. 

Stephen was still upstairs getting ready to leave, when Ant walked into Stephen's bedroom, because they usually stay at Stephen house, with a smile on his face as the younger man put on his Shirt. "What?" Stephen asked confused "is this a bad shirt? Should I change it?" He asked nervously, which in turn made Ant laugh, Stephen turned back to the mirror on his wardrobe and started fiddling with his shirt trying to make sure it looked good. As Ant walked over and wrapped his arms around the younger man's waist and hugged him from behind, he went on his tip toes so he could rest his chin on Stephen's shoulder. "No, you look very handsome!" Ant said, "as always!" he pointed out, as he noticed the blush appearing on Stephen's face, which made Ant giggle. "Hey, so listen." Stephen started as he turned around to face Ant "about tonight, if I'm intruding on yours and Dec's thing, then just tell me." Ant laughed as he pulled Stephen into a kiss, when he pulled away, he smiled. "If you were intruding, we wouldn't have invited you!" Ant pointed out, as the younger man laughed, he just nodded. "And, we are in the corner of the bar, so no one should really notice us there, so it should be rather quite" Ant pointed out to Stephen, who huffed out a laugh along with a sigh of relief. He pulled Ant into another hug as he laid a small kiss on the top of Ant's head. "I love you, Anth!" he mumbled through Ants hair; Ant could feel the smile on his face when he said that, and He couldn't help but smile back. "I love you too Stevie!" Ant said back as he pulled away "We should go, or we'll be late" Ant said still smiling "Okay." Was all Stephen said as Ant grabbed his hand and held it in his own, they made their way out of the house and too Ant's car, and as Ant went to unlock it, he searched for his keys and after a few moments Stephen asked, "lose your keys?" as he dangled them from his finger, leaving a rather confused face on Ant "You gave them to me earlier to 'look after' remember?" Stephen said, teasing Ant "you couldn't have given them to me earlier?" Ant asked, slightly irritated, Stephen shook his head laughing "well, I could've but, it wouldn't have been as funny!" Ant rolled his eyes at the younger man as he snatched the keys out of his hand. They got in the car and made their way over to the pub.

They finally pulled up in front of the pub, as Ant looked over and smiled to the younger man. "Ready?" He asked, placing his hand just above Stephen's knee. The younger man let out a small smile and nodded to the Geordie man. They got out of the car and made their way into the pub; they held hands up until they got to the outer wall. Ant pushed the gate open and placed his arm out to let Stephen pass, to which Stephen responded with a smile. They finally got to the door and made their way into the building, Ant looked around to see if Dec had already got there, he hadn't obviously, it would be a miracle for Dec to be early. Ant saw a table free in the corner of the room, he tapped Stephen's arm and pointed to the corner. They made their way over and sat down next to each other as they waited for Dec to arrive, they made small talk, and sat in silence, but it was a comfortable silence. 

They were in the middle of talking about the next series of Saturday Night Takeaway, when a random man walked up and smiled at Stephen. "I don't believe it! Stephen Mulhern!!" He said as Stephen looked at him confused for a moment when he finally recognised the man "Mason jones!?" He said half asking, He stood up and hugged the man, as Ant sat there a bit confused, he let out a cough to remind Stephen he was sitting there "oh right, yeah sorry." he laughed as he pointed to Ant "This is Ant" Stephen said "Bro- your Ant from Ant and Dec" Mason said star struck smiling, Ant stood up to shake the man's hand "I am and you are...?" Ant asked confused and laughing "Oh right I'm Mason jones, I'm Stephens..." He trailed off "He's my Ex-boyfriend" Stephen finished "We dated back in college" he smiled as Ant looked a bit shocked "yeah, sorry, I didn't know whether you were out to them" Mason smiled to Stephen.
