With Dr. Judas:
As doctor Judas continued to run... darting between different hallways, using the maze to her advantage, for the most part. He seemed to know exactly where she was at all times... worry started to creep into mind... until her phone rang. Hiding in a side room, she looked at it, and answered with trembling hands. After all, it was from the Site Director... and to protect foundation interests... she might have to be sacrificed. Hopefully that wasn't the case, as Rabenhertz typically tried to reduce casualties as much as possible... "Hello?"
She sighed, annoyance clear on the other side of the phone. "I know you are in danger. Head to 343. He has offered his protection. Do not squander it."
"Thank you!" As the line went dead, hope sprung up again, as she looked down the hall, and bolted onwards. God himself is offering me help?! I'm lucky! That's my salvation! Looking behind her, she saw the STF troops being routed. They fired at the opponent, but they were shot down quickly. She kept running, sealing the door behind her. Desperate for any kind of hope. But she could hear the door being busted open. The mysterious man had the means to get through any door... and with one focus. Her research... and most likely, her end, as well.
With 343:
He looked around, hearing the noises of conflict get closer. Izuku asked, quickly, "What do we do when she arrives?"
The deity explained, carefully, efficiently. However, he was also pragmatic, wanting to protect the information as best as possible. "I will protect her as best I can. You need to understand the data she has collected. You are immortal, like myself. She can't take away the information if it's in your mind... your soul."
"Right." The two went on guard, both at the ready as rapid footsteps approached the door. Opening it, the researcher, someone Izuku hadn't met before... was visibly relieved to see God waiting for her. "Thank you..."
With a slight shake of his head, he merely gestured behind him. "Do not thank me yet. Get away from the door." She did as instructed, while he instructed his guest, "Izuku. Memorize her files."
"What? He's a..." It was then that she noticed the pendant on him. Thinking he was Dr. Bright... she immediately relented. "Of course. Here." She handed the files to him, and Izuku immediately opened it and skimmed through it. His analysis and brainpower was put to the test. And as he finished reading it, there were new footsteps. Spurs sounded until reaching the door. There was a shuffling of leather before silence... then a loud bang. A few sparks later, and the door opened on its own.
When the man entered the room, 343 put himself in front of the researcher physically blocking them from ranged attack. "You... shall not... get her... She is innocent."
For the first time... the anomalous assailant spoke. It was more youthful than expected, but still gritty, just as his cowboy aesthetic implied he would. "Her orders. Ya know you can't fight her."
343, to his credit, was definitely consistent in his stance, standing up to this hidden deity in the shadows. "As long as I have power in this world, she will not operate in the shadows. You will leave, Deathslinger, and fail your task."
